2009 was kicked off in true style !!
Kiddfectious firmly stamped its hard dance foot down on the city of Manchester to mark their first birthday as the sell out event ushered nearly 1000 ‘kidd-fected’ clubbers across its two fully charged rooms. The celebrations of Kiddfectious represented the flame of the Manchester hard dance underground being reignited.
Come April 10th and the Kiddfectious flame will burn even brighter, inhabiting Manchester’s favourite, the legendary Sankey’s Soap. Welcome to North West’s best clubbing institution, welcome to the future, welcome to ‘Masters of the Underground’.
After the coming of the Queen of Hard House, Lisa Lashes at the birthday, please now make way for the First Lady of the Harder Styles and Q-Dance favourite - Lady Dana. Her style can best be described as a crossover between different genres of hard dance music with a rough yet feminine touch. As a headliner over at the 50,000 capacity Sensation Black parties in Holland, she will be taking much pleasure in melting the brains of the Kidd-fected generation as she touches down in the North West for the first time in nearly a year. More underground than “Earthworm Jim”, Dana fuses elements of European techno, trance and hardstyle morphing an explosive sound track - Dana-mite!
The award winning Kiddfectious head honcho Alex Kidd has been on quite some journey over the past few months. Masterminding Kiddstock 2009, staging Kiddfectious events all over the UK and touring the brand in Ireland, Ibiza, Sweden, Australia and beyond, The Kidd returns to his home town to lure his loyal Kiddfectee’s down to futuristic depths of contaminated underground beats, served complete with the unexpected AK trimmings and a fresh-fectious sound for 2009.
Hailing from Sicily, Daniele Mondello emerges to exhibit the finest in underground Italalian hardstyle. Competing in mixing championships worldwide from as early as 1990, this guy knows how to conquer the decks. Undaunted by the six turntable, three mixer setup, Daniele won no1 in the 1993 Italian Technics DMC Mixing Championship and no4 at the Technics DMC World Mixing Championship in the same year. Better known today for being the master behind the ‘Italian Hardstyle’ vols 1, 2 and 3 and rocking stages at the likes of Defqon 1, Qlimax and Decibel, Daniele is one of the true, original Masters of Hardstyle.
There’s no one who epitomises the UK underground scene quite as well as Mark EG. One of the first DJ’s in the UK to introduce the hardstyle sound, and a true pioneer of dance music who moves between genres with as much comfort as your favourite pants. No revolution would be complete without Mark EG.
Next up to drag us back down below is Italian hardstyle mistress Express Viviana. As a DJ and a producer of the very distinctive and infamous Italian hardstyle sound, Viviana will be treating all present to a dose of the sound at its rawest.
Completing the main room anarchy is of course Kidd Kaos. The year of ‘Kaos’ has been nothing short of incredible with his twisted and driving tech-infused productions devastating dance floors all over the UK, Ireland, Canada and up coming bookings for some of Holland’s biggest dance festivals.
As expected, the Kiddfectious All Star Squad will also be in residence in the Kiddfectious bunker. After taking the birthday event by storm they will be showcasing an alternative edge of the underground. Headed up by Neal Thomas alongside Suni Feenix (check out his new radio show on slinky.fm), The Technicians, DJ Bam and Shaun T and maybe even a guest mix by Mr Kidd himself!!

Kiddfectious 1st Birthday
Over the last year, Kiddfectious has cemented itself at the forefront of the underground hard dance scene with a series of high quality events and releases. The label has been pioneering a unique combination of harder edged techno, tech - trance and harder styles whilst events such as ‘Kiddstock 2008’ and ‘Kiddfectious Ibiza’ have smashed the boundaries of the global hard dance scene. After a phenomenal launch in Manchester, Kiddfectious are back where it all began 12 months ago. This time Area 51 will be infected with the anarchy and innovation this stable has become known for.
To celebrate their birthday, Kiddfectious welcome the worlds number 1 female DJ in Lisa Lashes. The Queen of hard house has accomplished all there is to as a female DJ, Lisa has developed her renowned ‘hard house’ sound into an energetic tech fuelled fusion of hard dance and trance.
A Kiddfectious party wouldn’t be complete without front man and ‘Best DJ’ Alex Kidd. 2008 was probably the greatest year to date in the Kidd’s career; having secured an Essential Mix as well as being crowned the best DJ at the Hard Dance Awards. Dark By Design takes time out from fighting crocodiles and eating sharks to touch down with an exclusive producer set for the birthday shenanigans. We are honoured to have him on board for a guaranteed hour or carnage and destruction. Expect plenty of heads to be bouncing off the walls…don’t say we didn’t warn you!
Kiddfectious’ original All-Star; Kidd Kaos will be showcasing why he is one of the hottest properties in the hard dance scene. With a plethora of energetic tech-fused trancers consisting of original Kaos productions and remixes, this Kidd is set to blow up BIG!
In support of the sterling main room cast, local legend and technical maestro Rascal will be opening the proceedings
Kiddfectious will be calling on it’s ‘All-Star Squad’ to host the second room for a evening of new breed selections. Suni-Feenix, who’s latest studio offering ‘Capture’ (alongside Kidd Kaos) has been signed to Kiddfectious Recordings, will be joined by Neal Thomas, Shaun T, Technicians, Paul Flintoff and Andy Jackson. Kiddfectious has always been about pushing the new breed of artists and its dedication to providing the platform to expose young up-and-coming DJs and Producers. For a special birthday treat, Room two will allow the talent spotters a chance to check out the future superstars of the underground dance music scene.
