Let Me Entertain You
Me, Myself, and I
Last update: August 3, 2009

I'm forbidden in Heaven and useless in Hell.

I'm working in Clinton's. I am loving it. It's such a pleasure to work with genuine, full-hearted, nice people. Great bit of banter; can't believe I get paid to work in such a place. :D
I love my friends and family, even if I don't show it. They are my life.
Working hard on the art. Oh yes. Graphic designing and making money; not too bad eh?
I love the odd drink here and there. Love movies, music, sports and gaming.

Anything else you wanna know? Just ask.

  • Goodbye Michael Jackson, and Thank You.

    Michael Jackson
    1958 -2009

It’s still too unbelievable to comprehend that the man, the legend, the icon that is Michael Jackson has died. It’s very difficult to put into words describing how I, as a long-time fan, feel. I love Michael Jackson and will miss him greatly. There will never be another one like him.

I became a fan of Jackson during the 90’s when he released HIStory. He was very diverse in his music, which is what allowed him to cross so many boundaries as an artist. People of various ages, Religious and ethical backgrounds could all relate to his work and find a song or more that speaks to them and through the power of music, allow them grasp with whatever emotion they may be going through. I couldn’t help but go back and look up Jackson’s early work; Bad, Thriller ect. Fortunately for me, my parents were also Michael Jackson fans growing up, so I didn’t have far to look for other samples of his work. I remember listening to songs like Billie Jean, Smooth Criminal and Beat It and being amazed by his overwhelming talent. I fell in love with his music. Then I watched his music videos, or should I say, his short movies. This was something that I had never seen before growing up. Here was a man who could not only sing better than anyone, but he moved in a way that makes you doubt gravity. His dancing matches his abundance of talent when compared to his singing. He could do it all. Anyone who’s a Michael Jackson fan can honestly say that at least once in their life they’ve tried doing the Moonwalk to Billie Jean, trying to lean at a ridiculous angle to Smooth Criminal, or join in with friends and try the chorography to Thriller.

Looking back through the years, there’s very little people who you can honestly say revolutionised
an industry. You could probably count them on one hand. Michael was one of those people. He is responsible for the surge in popularity when it comes to music videos. He set the standard, and today this day, while some have come close, it’s yet to be surpassed. He not only inspired musicians of his time to produce better videos, but also encouraged the younger audience of his time to become what today are our music superstars. Talents such as Usher, Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, Kanye West, will.i.am, and many others. Michael Jackson was (and is) not only the ‘King of Pop’ music, but a trailblazer when it came to popular culture. To this day that still holds true. Children of today know who Michael Jackson is and listen to his music. He has crossed over four decades with music, been an idol to generations, and is a leading figure in music overall. Even though he is no longer with us, his music will always be there and his legacy will continue to grow for generations to come. And although what has happened is heartbreaking, I feel privileged to have been alive and to have heard new material from the man while he was still with us, and even though his later contributions will never be as highly regarded as his earlier work, he never gave trying to be better. He did what he did for his fans. He loved music and he used it in a powerful way. He used his celebrity status to help charities around the world and influenced the entire population to ‘heal the world’. His humanitarian work is extremely admirable and should never be forgotten.

To me, the world seems a much duller place now without Michael Jackson in it. But one thing that can be learned from his music that no matter what happens in life, you should never let it get you down. Move on and become stronger for it. I will miss him though. Very much so, but as long as there’s music in world, life will go on, and Michael Jackson will never be forgotten for what he has done for the world of music, and for the world in general. Thank you so much for everything. You are loved, you will be missed, but you will never be forgotten.

  • Newcastle United! :D

Newcastle will be playing Championship football next season.

    Intro
I’ve been a lifelong Newcastle fan; experiencing the highs and lows, season after season. It’s never been boring following Newcastle, and I don’t expect that to change anytime soon. I’m often asked; ”Why do you support Newcastle?” It’s a question I never really understood, I mean, why does anyone support the team that they do? They would normally go on to explain that it isn’t a team you would normally not support. They would refer to the ‘Big Four’, Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal. I don’t remember the exact moment I became a Newcastle fan, for as long as I can remember, I have always supported them. I was never influenced into supporting any football team. My dad supports Liverpool, my brother would support Man United, my aunt supports Leeds and my granddad supports Everton. It’s an odd collection of teams in one family but it keeps things interesting. It must have been love at first site. Like I said, I don’t remember that one defining moment when I became a Newcastle fan, so I can easily say that I was probably born one, and I will happily die one.

    Classic Games
I’ve witnessed some amazing moments during the Toon’s top-flight stay. Games such as beating Manchester United 5-0 in October 1996. Losing 4-3 to Liverpool in what was no doubt one of the greatest games in Premiership history; despite the result. Winning 4-1 away to Sunderland, winning 4-3 away to Leeds, defeating Spurs 7-1 in 97, and they’re many, many others; too many to mention. One game, albeit not a Premiership match, took place during one of our greatest seasons; it was a Champions League match against Barcelona in which we won 3-2 in 1997.

    Favourite Players
As well as seeing amazing matches over the years; I’ve also watched some great players come and go from the club. Some of my all time favourites would be Ginola, Philippe Albert, Solano, Given, Beardsley, Asprilla, and of course, Alan Shearer. There’s nothing that I can say about Shearer that hasn’t been said already. Without a doubt he was the greatest player in our history, and unfortunately never won any honors with the team, although he did win numerous awards as a player.

    Boardroom Politics
Needless to say that when word broke that Shearer was becoming out (fourth) manager of the season, optimism was running through my veins, much like most Newcastle fans I’m sure. He only had a hand full of games to turn what was without a doubt the worst season I’ve ever had to endure as a proud Newcastle fan, mainly because of the man at the helm of the Magpie’s ship; Mike Ashley.
Freddie Shepherd may not have been everyone’s cup of tea, but at least he was in it for the right reason. He loved the club and always did what he thought was the best for his beloved Toon Army. The same cannot be said for Ashley. Ashley came in thinking that buying a ‘soccer’ club would be an easy way to make quick money, but not even his millions could buy the love, respect and most importantly the faith of the fans and players alike. But he was not alone in the demise of the club, Derek Llambias and Dennis Wise must also shoulder some of the blame. Wise would constantly go over Keegan’s (then manager) head to Ashley in who he felt should be brought into the club and let go. This annoyed ‘King Kev’ so much that he felt he had no choice but to step down as manager. Hopefully now that Newcastle has been relegated Ashley will do what’s best for the club.
It’s been reported that Newcastle (specifically Ashley) will suffer a major finical blow as a result from dropping into the second tier of English football. The club was worth roughly £380 million, but now, it’s said to be just over the £100 million mark, which to any way you look at it, is a massive, massive blow. With this comes the inevitable of making cuts. Some players may lo
