Open decks Sessions - Masons Venue - Thursday 30th July
CALLING ALL BUDDING DJ's
Fancy yourself as the next James Zabelia or Andy C? Sick of not getting the chance to play in a club enviroment? Well now you have the chance to show your skills and get out of your bedroom as on Thursday 30th July the first Open Deck Sessions in Derry will commence in Masons Venue on Magazine Street,Derry.
The Open Decks Sessions has been started to give both experienced and up and coming Djs the platform to show off their skills and to get the chance to play out in public, to get a slot on the night could not be any easier,all you need to do is email opendecksmasons@googlemail.com leaving your full name ,phone number,dj name,music style and state equipment you prefer to use ie; Technics,Cdj,Laptop etc,a demo mix at least 30 minutes long may be required in some cases.Expect a swift reply and then you can start orgainising a group of supportive friends to cheer you along.
There will be 4 entrants given a slot at each event and each Dj will be given a 30 minute set and dont worry we allow all genre’s, so don’t be shy. We will structure the night so there is a progressive flow. So it doesn’t matter if you play House,Minimal Techno or Hard Trance, Hip Hop or DnB, there is always room for you at Open Decks Sessions, and if you dont apply on time for the first session dont worry there will be more events in the future.
The Open Decks Sessions will be hosted by local Djs Gav Gallagher and Hago,Doors open at 10pm,admission is free and there will also be drink promotions on the night.So make sure you come check us out whether you’re a budding DJ, or just love music and are up for a great night out. and make sure you get down early so you don’t miss a thing.
