Glad you could drop by, life is good for us here in south Auckland. We have our ups and downs but what relationship/family doesn't. Everything is perfect in its own way.
Happiness is a journey, not a destination.
Jay and I are proud parents of two gorgeous boys, Dante (2.9yrs) and Xander (1yr).
Dante is an exceptional toddler! He loves books, Music, Dancing and Playhouse Disney. His favourite programmes are Word World, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Little Einsteins.
Xander is just so cuddly and just adorable! He is almost always full of smiles
He's loving being mobile in his walker now, but even more when on the floor

- He has such a strong spirit about him, determined and so curious. Now that he's talking he is like a sponge lol! How inquisitive the mind of a child is. He's making his own decisions as to what he wants to wear to what food he wants to eat, quite the independent little man!
He's no longer on the bottle so the next mission is potty training (again)... - Xander
- He is another good mix of both Jay and I with his features, looks a lot like his brother did at his age but has the opposite features to his brother with regards to Jay and I... e.g. Dante has my eyes and Xander has Jay's eyes.... I imagine Xander will excel just as Dante is although I hope Xander is not that much of a flirt like his brother (yeah I know, good luck to me on that one!).
He lights up the room with his smile and knows when his food is coming LOL - Role Models

Marry Jay the man of my dreams, build a house of our own and live happily ever after Make sure our babies have all the tools they need in life to be strong, fair and independent people.

At last a guy has taken the time to write this all down
Finally , the guys' side of the story.
( I must admit, it's pretty good.)
We always hear " the rules "
From the female side.
Now here are the rules from the male side.

1. Men are NOT mind readers.

The birth of our baby boy Xander
Well, it all started when at about 3am Sunday morning when my water partially (I only found out later that it wasn't completely) broken while I was in bed trying to sleep. Not knowing what to do apart from the fact that I hadn't had any pains yet I decide to try and clean up the mess which I realised I couldn't clean as Jay was still sleeping on the other side of bed LOL I told him my water broke and he sat up eyes wide open and trying to get his bearings.
It was a bit different this time around, see with Dante our water broke last before Dante actually came out so we weren't too sure what the protocol was other than as long as the pains were bearable there wasn't that much that was different.
The pains didn't start til an hour later, I managed to sleep for a while waking up only to breathe through contractions as they were that far apart. At about 7am I woke up to have some breakfast and watch tv with my nephews, when I told them that my water had broken they were wondering why I wasn't at hospital and why I wasn't panicking at the fact that my water had broken and they thought that baby could come through at any moment. I'm glad I had them around me at that time, they were a great team of support for me.
The pains came and they went again, managed to go to the hospital to check on progress at 3pm. Nothing was really happening so we went back home stopping off at the video store to grab some dvds and then the supermarket to grab some snacks. Got home, had dinner and watched a dvd and assured my nephews that I was okay and that they didn't have to worry that their new cousin will be here soon enough.
Pains became a lot more intense around midnight, so I'd lie here in bed breathing through the contractions until they got so close together that I couldn't time them properly. We went to hospital at about 3am Monday morning. Walked around the room a lot which brought on the contractions a lot faster. I managed to eat some lollies (care of my Mommy) in between contractions hehehehe and then by about 6:20am I felt the need to push.
At 6:27am Monday 11th August 2008, Xander was born weighing in at 3.44kgs and at 52cms long. Our second gift from God that we have been blessed with.

what ya been up2?
lol that's ok totally understandable aye hubz.
far out we had a really crazy day aye everyone having to be evacuated from ohope due to the tsunami warnings that were issued out to our area. had 30mins to grab clothes, food and sleeping gear and head to higher ground.
living so near the sea we'd be the first ones hit, luckily no damage came to our home our surrounding neighbours.
was just a sea of cars swarming round the highest look-out everyone looking out to sea, we had the fire trucks, police and ambulances on stand-by was just so crazy.
i've had very little sleep, been a stressful day so i'll bid farewell untill tomorrow or whenever i log on next mwa x
