- Lately I've been becoming a shopping freak! I use to hate shopping in malls, or waiting in long lines, or just trying to make up your mind, but all that has most definately changed for the better! I've learned to love shopping, and taking my time looking at all the new and innovative things out there. The only thing I dislike is to having to stay within budget...lol..

It's amazing how much ppl come to me, and say they can see my dad in me....I said the same thing to my auntie Frances, I look at her and there I see my dad...through her laught, through her cries, through her love....

Last Entry for 2009
Christmas 2009...hmmm Wow, I must say it was sure hard this past few weeks. Experiencing the "first time" without my dad at everything especially christmas eve, and christmas day. Lots of tears, telling stories of dad of what he'd being saying, I am thankful for those memories I have of my dad, thankful he was a part of my life, and my children's.
It's hard to keep moving forward at times, there are times where it feels so heavy that nothing can ever lift the hurt from my chest, and my children's especially, Keira's there's nothing more heartbreaking than to watch your grieving child miss her "baba george" and that she wonders everytime she looks up into the sky and asks, me..." mom, is baba george coming back?" I have come to learn how to find strength and faith in a higher power and in my spouse and especially my children to keep me moving forward. The other that keeps me going is my mom...yes she is my everything, we are each other's rock in all of this.
Overall, we had a good christmas, Calvin and his family weren't unable to make it home this year, but we enjoyed the best of what have which was...our families....
I couldn't believe the people that stopped in at the house or seen us as we were out n' about...hugging us, keeping us in your prayers, and thoughts as we have our first christmas without dad, baba, and friend. It's very comforting just knowing that I can look to those who care and don't have to say a word and just say i'm missing him today, or i'm having a rough day...and you totaly understand. You all know who you are....hehehe...well I can go on, n' on, but i won't...lol...
Let's see what 2009 brings....

Thanks So Much....
I'd like to thank each and everyone of you who took the time to drop a comment, or to come by the house to see me, and my family. I am overwhelmed by the love and support that my friends, had shown me, and they still continue to ask 'how are you holding up?" My heart is broken, but it's very comforting that my friends will be there for me when I need them. I am doing lots of crying, talking to my dad, I've started writing letters, it's still hard to be public, because of all the memories, and when I look around and think of those ppl who my dad would being saying "hi" to...My mom is taking this hard, she lost the love of her life since she was 13 years old. That's a long time to be in love, then to exprience one passing on.
Last week was life changing for me, loosing my dad, and my babies "baba" , and the one thing we didn't get a chance to ask my dad...but, we did ask my mom, this past summer. We kept it to ourselves, because dad didn't know about it yet, Phil was trying to build some courage to ask my dad to have my hand in marriage, but something always came up or didn't get that chance to ask him. To be honest, Phil was scared in asking my dad, so we kept putting it off, then I told Phil, no matter how we say it, or who speaks first, he'll take it hard, because you're in love with his baby girl...My dad may not be able to walk me down the aile, but he'll be there in my heart walking w/me. My brothers Ferlin and Calvin will be walking me down the aile. Things happen this way for a reason, and this is how it shall be, and let it be...
I think of my babe; Phil every minute, because I cannot imagine what he is going through, nights are very hard for him, especially falling asleep. He has accepted that for some reason he was choosen to over there to find the heartbreaking news about my dad, and it wasn't me, cause I was so close in finding my dad that night, but I didn't, I am here for my Phil and my family, especially my mother. We are supporting each other in every way.
