Work is finished on the follow-up to 2007's Smokey Rolls Down Thunder Canyon, and Devendra Banhart has departed XL for another label.
The album is out October on Warner and its title is

Banhart recorded the album with A Band of Bees' Paul Butler, and his backing band consists of plenty of folks Banhart has worked with before: Megapuss buddy Greg Rogove, Little Joy's Rodrigo Amarante, Luckey Remington, and Noah Georgeson. Andy Cabic also contributed to the album.

According to Oasisnet the band gave the singer complete freedom as to which song he should remix and the singer opted to remix '(Get Off Your) High Horse Lady'.
