I'm here today to talk about Axel. Yes, that Axel. Yes, the King of Wank in the KH fandom.

I'm here because I'm angry at the way he's being characterized. It's one thing to make Axel a "BAWWWWWW WOXAS I LUV U YOU MAKE ME FEEL LIKE I HAZ HEART ♥ slobber moan drool unf." That, we agree as a whole, is totally uncool and not at all okay. It is worthy of immediate fandom lynching, believe me, I know it, I live in Bolivia >.>

However, guys, really? Do we NEED to take it to the complete other extreme of "HAHA MINE IS AN EVIL LAUGH I STAB EVERYONE IN THE FACE BECAUSE I AM A GIANT DICK AND BTW I ALSO FUCKED EVERYONE BECAUSE MY CAWK IS SO HUGE slobber moan drool unf."

Yes, Axel is a deliciously nasty backstabbing asshole of a traitor. He's willing to lie, cheat, steal, manipulate, backstab, double-cross and murder to gain the upper hand. This should be really friggin' obvious to anyone that's played Chain of Memories. HOWEVER. That doesn't justify completely ignoring his KH2 characterization.

One very important thing happened between CoM and KH2 that CHANGED Axel. (WHAT OMG RYUNE PEOPLE CHANGE HOLY SHIT ARE YOU SERIOUS?!!! yes, they do, video game characters included. it's called DEVELOPMENT. IT'S GOOD. GOOD STORIES SHOULD HAVE IT AND IF THEY DON'T THE CREATORS NEED TO BE WHIPPED...HARD). His name is Roxas.

Now it is my dearest, fondest, LORD I LAY ME DOWN TO SLEEP, PRAISE TETSUYA NOMURA wish that KH 358/2 will touch on this more, but Axel CHANGED over the course of a year. He went from being this murderous sonnavabitch to being a murderous sonnavabitch with a best friend!!!! A best friend that he'd do ANYTHING for. Roxas means more to Axel than his own life does, and he wants his BFF back, and bad.

No, this does not mean Axel wants Roxas back so he can fuck the poor boy raw. Friendship =/= fucking, but that's a different rant entirely.

The reason KH2 Axel is so different from CoM Axel (not as smart, doing stupid stuff, running away from Saïx etc) is that Axel is DESPERATE. You get that!?

Desperate people do desperate stuff. He's quickly running out of options, and none of his plans are working. Not to mention he's confused and likely hurt (WHAT HE MADE AXEL FEEL LIKE HE HAD A HEART HOMG?) so he probably isn't at the top of his game.

SO IN CONCLUSION.
