- This years Street Performance World Championship promises to be bigger and better than ever.
For two magical weekends this June the best contortionists, piano jugglers, magicians, breakdancers, comedians and other assorted world-class professional jesters will descend on Ireland; first on Cork’s Fitzgerald Park and then on Dublin’s Merrion Square, to battle it out for the most coveted title in street performance, the AIB Street Performance World Championship.
13-14th June in Cork
18th-21st June in Dublin

SPWC photo competition winners announced
Congratulations to all of the winners!!
And thanks so much to everyone who uploaded their photos to Pix.ie and took part in the photo competition, you made it a very long and difficult process to make decisions on best pictures
During the Street Performance World Championship in June we ran a photo competition along with Pix.ie and yesterday the winners of that competition were announced

2009 winners!!
The winner of the 2009 Street Performance World Championship has been announced!!
Congratulations to the winners USA Breakdancers!!
Also congratulations to the runners up, Alakazam in second place and Bendy Em in third. Well done!!
Aw it's all over now...the performers are packing up their things and heading home, Merrion Square has been cleaned and tidied and returned to it's former glory, the balloon modellers have stopped making balloons and the face painters have packed up their paints.
None of it would have been possible without the performers, there would be no festival without them! Or a pretty dull one anyway
So thank you street performers who came from far and wide (and a lot from Australia!) to perform, entertain and bewilder the crowds with your skills and talents.
Of course we must say a thank you to the marvellous volunteers who gave their time freely and without complaint so a HUGE thank you to all the volunteers too.
Final thanks must go to the people...the thousands and thousands of you who travelled to Merrion Square and to Fitzgerald Park to see all of the entertainers and volunteers doing their thing, to laugh and clap and cheer and be dragged into the shows as willing (and sometimes unwilling!) volunteers. And most importantly you came to vote! So thank you one and all, you can give yourselves a nice pat on the back for the biggest and most successful Street Performance World Championship to date!

We are having a Free Open Day on Sunday 6th of September 2-6pm. Loads of Free classes in Dance, Music and Drama!
Salsa - Hip Hop - Hip Hop Cardio - Guitar - Voice Lessons - Choir - Stage School drama classes - Pole Fitness - Latin and Ballroom... there will be loads of Classes. So get down to Greystones Studios on the 6th of September..

Im playing at the James Lavelle gig this Friday in Tripod Bar with Al Keegan, String and Neil Browne
Have a limited guestlist and can get you an friends in for €10....Its normally twice that....Its gona be a whopper gig I expect it to be rammed....I must have names for my list by Thurs eve the latest so if interested send me a private mail
