- Hello!! my name is Josh but i also go by Hey you there! or very rarely Joshua, but that's only when someone wants to annoy me. Just started 5th year studying Physics and Astronomy at Glasgow and i am always tired because of this. Spend my weekends wandering the home and leisure aisles at the Morrisson's in Giffnock thinking about what dvds i'm going to buy when i get paid.
- Music
- latest "purchases" have been Talking Heads, Seasick Steve, Kings of Leon, Elbow. Favourite bands are Led Zeppelin, Radiohead and Sigur Ros
- Films
- Love anything by the Coens, Kubrick, Speilberg and Kurosawa. last movies watched: No Country for Old Men, Juno, I'm Not There, Son of Rambow, Be Kind Rewind
- TV
- The Wire is the greatest show ever made! others shows i love are Stargate, Battlestar Galactica, Farscape, The Mighty Boosh, Black Books, Arrested Development, Futurama, The Sopranos...
- Scared Of
- aliens invading and sucking my brains out with a straw, the devil monkey in the my wardrobe and dogs eating bamboo
- Happiest
- seeing a really good movie for the first time, eating a fish supper and listening to great music on my way home from uni, sitting in the common room listening to the smut that comes out of graeme's mouth
- Books
- Anything by Iain Banks, 1984, His Dark Materials, the hitchhikers guide to the galaxy, It, 2001, catch-22, the hobbit
- Strange things i do
- get drunk and act like a 5 year old who's had 1 too many irn bru's, randomly quote movies and tv shows that no-one else has heard of, dance to tv theme songs ( todays was Futurama), smile inanely for no reason, spin around on any chair until i'm dizzy, fall asleep in lectures and then do really well in exams, suddenly not talk for hours for no reason, snort when i laugh

Free DVDs!!!!
Now that I've got your attention I actually do have some spare DVDs to give away for free. They are The Coen Collection ( a boxset containing Blood Simple, Barton Fink, The Hudsucker Proxy and The Big Lebowski), Oldboy (best revenge movie ever made, in korean) and Stargate: The Ark of Truth (probably only for stargate lovers).
Let me know if you want any of them.

T in the park 2008
this year i saw
the wombats- was expecting nothing but they were brilliant
scouting for girls- only disappointment of the weekend, they were average
feeder- band of the day, i went a wee bit insane during buck rogers as did everyone else in the crowd
the chemical brothers- dancing robots! scary clowns! lasers! block rockin' beats!
biffy clyro- showing that they are one of the best bands scotland has ever produced
we are scientists- excellent and making scientists like myself very proud
the pigeon detectives- very nearly the band of the day mainly due to the singer being insane and jumping about everywhere
the fratellis- fantastic, biggest sing a long of the weekend
rage against the machine- band of the day, even his speech about burning down the U.S embassy was entertaining
bowling for soup- lovely nostalgia trip, very very funny
the ting tings- very very good
the hoosiers- funny and entertaining
goo goo dolls- it is impossible not to cry when listening to iris
panic at the disco- an emo band that are actually really good live, what is the world coming to?
kings of leon- band of the day and possibly the weekend, they were very nearly perfect
Eddie and the robbers- pet sounds arena, only about 200 people were there and eddie jordan of the jordan f1 team was the drummer. bizarrely they were absolutely amazing and if it weren't for kings of leon they would have been my band of the day!
non musical highlights include my lovely airbed, the look of disappointment when i told a guy i didn't have any ecstasy, the guy who kept shaking my hand during the chemical brothers, the crab man, watching 50 people sing and dance to YMCA at 4 am, getting a lovely hug from a guy at the ting tings and eating Buffalo burgers and ice cream at healthy T

to grow up or not to grow up?
do i
a) move out of my house, this means i have to go flat hunting, then pay lots of money on rent. to do this i would have to keep my job, which i don't particularly like?
or
b) stay at home forever, quit my job but never be able to do anything because i have no money?
or
c) stay at home for now, keep my job and continue to spend every penny i earn on dvds?
being the king of procrastination, i will probably never make up my mind until i'm about 37 so i need someone sensible to tell me what to do. seeing as i don't know anyone sensible i'm asking bebo to make the decision for me.0 Kommentare 538 Tage
