- TRIGGER are a 6 piece stadium inspired rock band from Bromsgrove in Worcestershire. They gig in and around the Midlands area at various venues including pubs, a 300+ seating theatre and outdoor shows such as firework displays. A live TRIGGER set includes a selection of their original songs from across their 3 original albums! You can also expect to hear the odd cover of the stadium rock bands such as AC/DC, Bon Jovi, Guns 'n' Roses and Led Zeppelin, that have influenced the music TRIGGER write and perform! - In my opinion IVYRISE are the best new British band. Their debut single 'Tips' enter the UK chart at number 7. I went to see them on their UK tour because their support was ALISTAIR GRIFFIN who i've loved for 5 years. At the giggage I chatted to the IVYRISE guys and finally met GRIFFIN after waiting 5 years. Plus i'm now obsessed with IVYRISE and am offically on the 'band wagon'. They are my new favourite band. They are amazing. - It's a rock musical set in the 1980's so expect leg warmers, bright make up, big hair, fancy clothes and that's just the men! It's all set to an original TRIGGER soundtrack! The story line is loosely based on how Dan and Sally [Trigger] met, got together and formed their band TRIGGER! It's due to be staged at The Artrix Theatre in Bromsgrove on Sat 3rd and Sun 4th October 2009. In the mean time though Dan and Sally are looking for anyone who is 18 or over by 1st October that may like to take part in a new musical theatre project. There are small and big parts for actors, actresses, singers and dancers. Dan and Sally are also waiting to hear from anyone who would like to form part of the back stage crew! Boyzone Reunion Tour - 11.6.08 - NEC Birmingham
Hey Peeps, How are ya?
I've been meaning to write this blog since the night we went but I haven't got round to it. I started it last night after Ronan's video for 'Loving Each Day' and Boyzone's 'Love Me For A Reason' video came on the music channel. Like I say I started but had to stop to walk Billy. Haha. Then when I tried to post it bloody Myspace was being an arse and it wouldn't do it so here goes again! It was awesomeness the Boyzone Reunion Tour to be fair! WOW! What a show it was! We all knew the day would come round eventually and they'd get back together. When they finally did… it was like they'd never been away. It took 'em 8 years but god was it worth it! And boy have they still got it. Like wine, cheese etc… they get better with age! Haha There was no question we (me and mom) were gonna be there, we went to 3 out of the 5 of their tours the first time round so it's only right we went to the reunion!
So twas at the NEC they did 2 nights I wish we'd booked for both now but we just went to the second night 11th June. They were so so good. We had awesome seats too! We might not have listened to the songs for years but soon as they started we just knew them instantly! One of my favourite songs was always 'Words' and they did that absolutely stunning. Always loved 'A Different Beat' too and that was amazing. The whole place was doing the action one then two than one taps… you had to be a fan! It was awesome. Even the stewards were doing it! 'Baby Can I Hold You' was awesome as they were on this thing that turned 'em round so a different member of the band came up on the big scream and everyone cheered for their fave! Mines still Ronan! =] They opened the show with 'Picture Of You' that was brilliant. 'Love Me For A Reason' was ace and so was 'You Needed Me. Well they all were. They did an awesome Michael Jackson/Jackson 5 tribute in the middle and they attempted moon walking bless 'em. OMG 'No Matter What' was amazing they came on in white suits! WOW! They were on a platform thing above the audience twas awesome. Oh and don't even get me started on 'When The Going Gets Tough' they did the song on treadmills topless. Twas not a bad sight.
Until that night I didn't realise quite how appealing the Irish accent is… my god! Oh yeah I heard that the whole band sang Ronans solo songs and I didn't think it was gonna work but they did 'Life Is A Rollercoaster' and it really did work. It was ace better than when he did on his own I'd say! He did 'When You Say Nothing At All' and that was good. I never got to see Ronan solo. But he's best with Boyzone that's for sure. I loveage the new motto too 'Boyzone Back Again…No Matter What!' Hehe. Twas a good un. Can't believe it's 15 years since they first got together!! I was 4! Haha weird! I'm chuffed we were there!
On Monday 16th we went the Britains Got Talent tour too. This was at the NIA though. Never been there before so much smaller than the NEC but ace coz you're so close to the peeps! =P Wasn't really sure what to expect from it but it was actually really good. We were on the 3rd row so really good seats again twas ace. Signature and Strike were brilliant. The other guy from Signature came in from the audience and up on to the stage. Kate and Gin were brilliant too. Loved Andrew Muir 'The Singing Plummer'. Everyone was really good. George did that dance in the rain. The 2 young singers did a duet together. It was all good it just finished really early. Then when we were waiting outside for the taxi there were these girls with not a lot on so me and mom start making remarks in our own unique way. So much so that these 2 lads were in hysterics. They even thanked us afterwards as they left and said we were better than the show! All in a nights work! =P
Well I'll be off now. This is a rubbish blog tbf not meaning to blow my own trumpet but there usually better than this haha! Boyzone were better than I'm giving it credit for here! Still. Going to see Bon Jov0 komentarzy 519 dni

Alistair Griffin and IVYRISE in Oxford 27.5.08
I can't believe I haven't blogged this gig yet it was sooo amazing. I really outta blog it before tomorrow because i'm going to see Boyzone and no doubt weill wanna blog that!
The Oxford gig was amazing. I was so glad i'd already got tickets because boy did I need my fix after seeing them the week before I needed to se 'em again.
We set off quite earlier to get the bus to brum then onto digbethto get the coach. I'd only booked the tickets the night before so the sent me a text with the ticket details, I couldn't see how that was gonna be enough to tbf but it turns out it was. So on the coach we got I think we got a coach about 11:45. We wanted to be in Oxford early. We are always ridiculy early for stuff but it's all good.
So anywats we got into Oxford and becasue their was no train or coach back without having to leave before the end we booked a room. The website said the hotel was opposite the bus station we got their and was in fact in te bus station haha it sure was close. There was also an alternative shoe shop just round the corner. I think i lvoe everything in there. New Rocks, Converse, Vans, Dr Martens you name it they had 'em there. I was like a kid in a sweet shop!
So anyways w got to hotel, checked in and had a little laugh bout it. It was basic but wasn't half as bad as some people had made out. We were only sleeping there after all. We had our own bathroom though thank god I don't do shared bathrooms for anyone not even Griffin!
We dropped our bags off but didn't stay in the room all that long I wanted to get out there and shop! So we did. But before we went anywhere we brought a map haha and went and found the The Jericho on foot, where Griffin was on to see how far away it was from our hotel. It was a fair walk but found it alright then we went round te shops. Didn't buy all that much just passed the tiem and got dinner. Then jumped in the taxi and got the The Jericho maybe bout 6 summat like that. As we were pulling up in the taxi mom said "I'm sure that was Griffin just going in then!" I completely missed and thought she must of been mistaken. But once we were inside the pub and stood at the bar we saw him he was talking to a couple of peeps. I went when I saw him me knees went, my stomach lurched and was grinning like a mad women. Mom hid. He then saw us and grinned I was so chuffed. Then for some strange reason nerves like i've never known before kicked in. I felt sick. I couldn't touch me drink. I had no booze all night. Gotta be a first for me on a night out. We went and sat down. I'd gort my Griffin t-dhirt on that i'd brought at the Brum gig. The white one with pink writting. A few peeps new I was there for Griffin coz of the t-shirt and i recognised one or 2 peeps from the Brum gig. Some peeps went to all or most of the shows so cool. Me and mom managed 2. I thought was pretty good. We were saty by the stairs up to the room. Like the Hare and Hounds the music room was upstairs. I said to mom "Everyone that comes through that door is a potential". They were indeed Lots of peeps came and went that seriously looked like they should be in a band. A couple of Griffins band members came through the door. The Ben and Paul from IVYRISE came down and recognised us straight away. With big beaming smiled they asked us how we were and thanked us for coming. Ben even said "Welcome To Oxford" what a love!! He told us there was a couple of support bands on tonight so it was starting a bit later but he'd let us know when we could go up. He was so lovely.
Like before we went upstairs a couple of times early and could hear Griffin sound checking a couple of other people waiting to go in come up too. Then Ben came up and said Alistair was still straightening his hair which made us all laugh. I said to Ben aswell that I wanna get a cd tonight and he assured me there were plenty left! I told him I was gonna make my own t-shrt declaring my love for IVYRISE but I thought it would have been a bit cheap but0 komentarzy 519 dni
