  • Israel

Ok so I have now traveled the length and breadth of Israel. From Jerusalem to Elat to the Golan Heights to the Dead Sea. I have seen where Jesus had his best known meal as well as where he supposedly rose from the dead as well as walked on water. He was definitely a heck of a Jew. If I ever meet him I will definitely ask him if he's here for the first time or is this a return engagement hence ending all this mishagas. Anyway, I digress. I can honestly say that I have never been on such an emotional roller coaster from travelling to a new place. New and old, familiar yet unfamiliar, family yet strangers. Recognising and finding one's religious roots is a strange experience. Overwhelming and all consuming; almost drowning in the knowledge that you have no knowledge; that you know nothing. My experiences are entirely my own but I know thousands of others have felt what I am feeling. Though I know I will never live here I will return because if ever I had a chance of finding a jewish husband it will be here. :-)
