- So basically, We - The Donegal Youth Council Comhairle na nÓg Dhún na nGall are a group of young people, aged between 12 and 18 years, elected by peers to identify issues and promote projects in response to young peoples needs. Youth councillors have a democratic mandate to give young people a voice and allow them to take appropriate action.
Donegal Youth Council is drawn from six Local Electoral Area Youth Councils from each of the electoral areas in the county:
• Donegal
• Glenties
• Inishowen
• Letterkenny
• Milford
• Stranorlar
Donegal Youth Council is a 'Level Three' Action in 'An Straitéis 2002-2012; Strategy for Social, Economic and Cultural Development'
That's all the technical stuff, We're moving onto our second year on Office and attempting to do the things demanded of us, now we're all politically trained and what not.

Battle Of The Bands/Party In The Park Letterkenny
Heya guys just to let u feckers know that myself and meabho are on the organising committee for this year's Party in the Park. I'm sure youse have all heard of it but just to let you know that its in conjunction with the errigal arts festival. So if you guys could pass on this info to anyone in your area that would interested id really appreciate it! thanx!

Think you have what it takes to play at the PARTY IN THE PARK in letterkenny??? THEN SEND US YOUR DEMO!!!!
WHO: Unsigned Bands from the North West with all members UNDER 25 YRS
HOW: Send a short biography of your band and 2 songs (At least one original) (Demo Medium required- Mp3, CD or cassette)
When: Get your demo in on or before Friday March 2nd for your chance to play
Why: 8 bands will be chosen to play at the BATTLE OF THE BANDS at An Grianan Theatre, Letterkenny on Tuesday March 20th 2007, 3 bands will be chosen to perform at the 'Party In The Park' on Saturday July 14th in the Letterkanny Town Park.
Deadline: March 2nd 12pm
