Living in Aberdeen with my lovely hubby and our two gorgeous cats. Awaiting the arrival of a new family member in October which is exciting and scary at the same time!

Live every day as if it's your last folks, and find joy in the little things, it makes life much more enjoyable!

"UK tours" which turn out to only be within England, people who take up two seats on the bus for no decent reason, personal stereos turned up too loud to be "personal" anymore, people that smoke regardless of the smoking ban, "baby on board" sticker (so what?!), ooh and the new plastic Kit Kat wrappers - miss the noise of the foil in the old ones!

  • This year's concerts and culture

    Trying not to spend money on tickets this year, sliping badly as have bought Girls Aloud (been) The Feeling (sold on), Alanis Morissette (been, photos and vids on page, loved it!) and McFly (Nov). Sheer will power stopped me buying a TintheP ticket - sob!!! Have managed to win, blag or work for various others though so seen: the Metros, Wallbirds, Dirty Pretty Things, the Delays (got backstage and free t-shirt), Dusty Rhodes (met most of the guys, free signed CD), Sugababes, Hoosiers, The Feeling (yum!) and best of all: Nizlopi (autographs, kisses and hugs from them!). Got the chance of a free day at Belladrum Tartan festival but couldn't get transport without paying to hire a car so not going after all, shame as I'd love to see Brute Chorus and Scouting for Girls.

    Also been to theatre for: Joseph, Equus, Romeo and Juliet, Starlight Express, Bacchae, Sleuth, Hello Dolly, Sunset Song, Le Grand Cirque, Fleeto, Footloose, Scottish Ballet Autumn Season 2008, 4 poofs and a piano (not sure if that's really a "concert" as such!), and a backstage tour! Most of these have been free as I now write reviews for Whatsonstage Scotland website. Did buy tickets for the UEFA Aberdeen game which was fab! Also a few Word festival tickets where I got to see the marvellous Stuart MacBride!

  • 10 years already

    Wow, so that's Bryan and I been together 10 years already! He phoned me lunchtime yesterday and asked if I'd like to go out for dinner so I booked a table at La Lombardo. I went there last week with Ian (who I have also now known 10 years as we met him the same night as Bryan and I met in January 10 years ago!) and really enjoyed it so thought it would be nice to go there again. We had a lovely meal but my diet seems to have shrunk my stomach and I didn't manage the second half of my pizza. So if I'm out with you never let me have a starter!! I hate wasting food! And all I wanted to do when we got home was sleep! Bad night to be stuffed as the shopping from my Ann Summers party was delivered too!!

    Not sure what other news I have, been "exercising regularly" all year so far - maybe I will be able to be seen in a swimsuit in France in June!!

      Aw bless, but don't you believe all you've been told - y first was 5 weeks early (that was a scare!!) but yep, they come along on their own good time! Enjoy the peace before nappies, milk and baby puke fills your life (it's amazing how someone so small can take up so much room!)

      Glad you enjoyed it, I had a great time too-very late night though tnink it was about 4 am!!
      Got lots to spend so thats good, I managed to get all the stuff I was after and only spent a tenner!!
