I have booked 18 beds (3 x 6 bed dorms) at the Globetrotter Inn in Edinburgh, the beds are inclusive of Bed and Complimentary Continental Breakfast.
The Globetrotter is not in the city centre, but they do run a shuttle bus service from nearby the Waverly Railway station so we should be ok for transport.

Reception is conveniently open 24 hours a day. Check-in will commence at 2:00 pm, however guests are welcome to arrive at anytime to leave their bags and enjoy our facilities. Checkout is by no later than 10:00 am.

Can I also advise you that they supply bed linen, duvet and pillows. You will have to bring your own towels.

Price for the rooms is £18 pounds each and the rugby tickets are £15 each for two days of rugby (Mitch has already bought the tickets but more tickets will be available on the gate if required).
The rooms will have to be on a first come first serve basis so please pay the cash ASAP to ensure you get a bed.
We will be travelling by rail and we are leaving everyone to book and pay for the rail transport themselves. (Rail ticket costs around £23 if booked in advance)

The pub crawl element of the stagger will probably be centred around George St for the Opal Lounge/Hard Rock Cafe etc, then onto The City Nightclub to finish off the night (These venues will probably operate some form of dress code so no trainers!)

Stag Night June 2nd Edinburgh for the world Rugby 7's tour. Definate names to me or Mitch ASAP. Trying to sort out very cheap rooms details soon....

Disappointing headline acts, we’ve all been there. This summer’s Radio One Big Weekend, acts taking the stage were Pink, Feeder, and Franz Ferdinand and to top it off we got Keane. Boring? Leave early? I did.
T in the Park do this too, my last time there. Green Day, Foo Fighters, and Basement Jaxx and to finish Chemical Brothers, Two gadgies standing behind decks hardly the world’s best stage show.
My old boy has told me of a big charity gig at Wembley that had the Rolling Stones, George Michael, Elton John, and Queen and after a huge build up the headline act appeared on stage and was Peter Gabriel. I can only think he must have organised the event because he is pish.
But this is not a new thing hippies turning up at Woodstock saw Joan Baez headline Friday, Jefferson Airplane ( better known to 80’s fan’s as Starship) top the bill on Saturday, It wasn’t until the Jimi Hendrix Experience on the Sunday that there was a decent headline act. After looking up Woodstock on the net, I’ve now relised most of the line up was pish and that every major band (The Doors, Led Zep, The Beatles etc) refused to play.
And if anyone cares to look back at the history of Glastonbury that’s thrown up a few turkeys in the past with Keith Christmas, Stackridge, Footsbarn Theatre remember any of them? And what would have to be the worst act to ever headline any event Aswad.
This is leading to a quiz on festivals by the way.
