- Welcome to this ole man's parlor ...
Jes when I thought I was getting better then ... boom ... I get the Shingles AGAIN ... luckily I caught this one early at Thanksgiving time (but it still hurts) ... and unfortunately, Debi and I, had a very quiet Thanksgiving Day at home asleep. To make a long story short, Debi came home from Richmond Virginia. She was staying with her mom to watch over her Dad, who in a coma after his surgery on his head ... well, he did wake up and passed away. We had the burial soon after and Debi stayed for a while to help her mom settle in. When Debi returned home, she was coughing, bad enough for me to take her to the clinic. She had pneumonia and was giving a bunch of meds. So both she and I took our pain killer meds ... and soon passed out for the rest of Turkey Day .. we both needed the rest. All is good.
These are trying times, however, we have each other, family and friends to help us go through this ordeal. We appreciate all of you ...
- Music
- I love music ... but tend to like Hawaiian music a little more than the others but I love to listen to and attempt to play cool jazz, blues, and up beat swing, jazz- and pop music with the ukulele.
- Films
- Rarely go to the theaters ... watching more DVD saw National Treasure 2, Blue Planet, Planet earth or something, rewatched Alien vs Preditor, all of my Jet Li DVDs, Live Free or Die Hard, and all my Hawaiian DVDs
- Sports
- Love all action sports ... Still love the Washington Redskins even though I cannot watch the games because I stress out too much ... I also like the University of Hawaii football team ... Don't like wrestling, but love boxing and ultimate fighting. Watched Australian rule football and all fast action ... I LIKE IT!
- Fear
- Global Warming!? ... yeh right! Gas shortage? nope! ... Its those big Food Cartels ... these people will drive up the cost of food and blame it on everything and everybody. Luckily I know how to grow veggies ... NOW my biggest fear is the Government leaders who they will make things right and take care of us, the common people. There is also talk that they will control mother nature and the Global warming and energy issues.
- Happiest When
- I'm playing my ukulele and jamming, cooking with my sons and entertaining anyone who come over to the Shack... and talking stories with good friends ... going out with friends to watch them eat what I no longer allowed to eat.
- Food
- I love cooking more then ever ... eating dropped out of first place ... anybody can eat! BUT cooking can be an art. Hawaiian dishes (includes all the ethnic dishes you can find in Hawaii) are my favorite. I have been challenged by several doctors to cook smart for myself and whats left of my kidneys

Challenges
Life is full of issues, both bad and good, large or small, and it our destiny to face these issues as a challenge in this life time. We often seek assistance and help from family, friends, doctors, and from the spiritual beliefs. However, the words, advice and presence will only challenge you to wade through the plathera of helpful suggestion ... but YOU still have to make a decision. This is usually when stress begins unless the issue is not big enough to worry about in the first part.
So before the stress begins ... assess if the issues are really worth stressing over ... not a lecture just a thought0 comentarios 379 días

Hey G,
How are you and Debs? I hope all is looking up for you both now that you are heading into summer.
well Adam our daughter Journey and I are living in Kuala Lumpur at the moment - trying to set up our base here and things are going pretty good - really hot but good.
But I am sure that Ata has kept you in the loop that we are all coming over in Sept this year so hope that we can catch up with you all when we get there. I think of you all often - and prayer that you are all safe and well. Please give my love to mumma Jules, Papa Pete and little sis for me.
