- The Korova play list contains the musical highlights of the last 30 years. From early experiments with electronic equipment, new electric guitars and synthesizers, rock excursions into more progressive pastures post Sixties, to the Punk and New Wave movements of the late Seventies and early Eighties that dominated New York City. Influences come from clubs like CBGB's to what evolved from the more localized scenes in England, and the bands that came out of Liverpool, Manchester, Sheffield and London. From the Eighties we move to the Nineties through the Indie and Brit Pop movements, the emergence of Hip Hop as a serious contender and the Electro that sprang from ghetto block parties all over the globe.
Throughout the day you can hear Brian Eno, David Bowie, Iggy Pop and The Stooges, New York Dolls, Blondie, Richard Hell, The Ramones, Patti Smith, Suicide, The Misfits, The Cramps, The B52's, Television, Lou Reed and The Velvet Underground, Talk Talk, Sparks, Kraftwerk, The Human Leagu - Films/TV

im havin a great time here apart from the studenty side of life - knowing that once ive finished on this computer im going back to my common room to have cold new potatoes eating them out of the tin , i could make it a treat and add salt or even take the tin to the burger van outside and squirt on some mayonaise/tomatoe sauce/salad cream/hp sauce/ mustard/vinear...mmmmmmmm. i think ive just planned the next 45 minutes of my life.
