- Howdy, and welcome to the Oakwood's Bebo page. Celebrated our 2nd aniversary, so thanks to all for the support over the past 2 years, you know who you are. Anyhoo, i'm Craig Stewart, an along with Vinny, we run the Oakwood pub.

- CHRISTMAS MEALS in the OAKWOOD
- We are pleased to announce that after the success of last years Christmas meals.... the Oakwood will be doing them again this year! The menu has just been finalised, and the prices will be £29.95 for adults, and £16 for kids (under 16). There will be one sitting this year for 60 people, between 3pm - 5pm. This is selling out fast, and is only advertised on the bebo page just now so anyone interested, book fast!!
- DECEMBER 5TH - WILLIE LOGAN
- Playing in the bar on Saturday 5th December, the mesmerising WILLIE LOGAN, one of the finest guitarists you are likely to see anywhere. Renowned internationally for his guitar playing, and squeezing us in at the end of his German tour, I would pay to see this guy play, you lucky people are getting the chance to see him for nothing. Playing hits from his own album, plus songs from the like of SANTANA, CLAPTON, KNOPFLER, GILMOUR, SATRIANI, etc. This is one definately not to be missed (Check his video on the page!)
- BIG TIME POKER EVENING - FRIDAY 11TH DECEMBER
- Big time poker comes to the Oakwood for 1 evening only. 1ST PRIZE - £150, 2ND PRIZE - £100, 3RD PRIZE - £50. Also, the first 32 people eliminated get free entry to a pool competition, with a 1st prize of £50! Many other prizes to be won. Tickets for this are £10, and are likely to go quickly
- BOXING NIGHT - THE BLACKBIRD (BEATLES TRIBUTE) - £
- The first time we have had a Beatles tribute in the pub, and it is sure to be excellent. This is sure to be an brilliant tribute to the biggest band of all time, and will have you singing your heart out, whilst dancing your pants off! This is sure to be a sell out, so get tickets early. - NEEDING A BUS?
- If you feel that you have to be lured away from the Oakwood for a night (Don't know why!) Then book a bus with DEVON COACHES (01259 211696) to leave from the OAKWOOD, and recieve a FREE SHOT for everyone leaving on the bus.... what a great start to the evening eh!
- FREE WiFi & SKY SPORTS
- The Oakwood has now installed FREE WiFi & SKY SPORTS, which means you can watch the footy in the pub with a cold pint, whilst ordering the shopping from Asda on line that your wife actually believes you're away doing.... perfect!!

Looking For Somewhere To Paaaarrtyyy!
The Oakwood has just recently been decorated and consists of a main bar, pool room, sun lounge and function lounge. There is a designated smoking area and outdoor seating for those hot summer days!
There are two large wide screen tv's , with three smaller one's, so watching the football is never a hassle! Two pool tables (which are free on Monday & Tuesday), darts, cards, dominoes, and a healthy juke box mean there is always something to do.
The function lounge is very popular and suitable for various occassions including, parties, race nights, band nights, live entertainment, kids parties, etc. The hall can hold up to 90 people, and you can hire it, plus DJ Doug, for as little as £150. If you can find a hall and dj for less than this anywhere, please let us know!
The sun lounge has also recently been decorated, holds up to 30 people, and can be used for smaller occassions at no price.
