Iced Earth are an American Heavy Metal band founded by Jon Schaffer. They were originally called Purgatory, but later changed names. This name was the main influence on the album; Days of Purgatory. With singers and other band members changing all the time, Schaffer kept the same amazing sound of Iced Earth through 9 main albums and other CDs/boxsets/DVDs.
Also working with Hansi Kursch, the Blind Guardian frontman, Kursch & Schaffer formed Demons & Wizards and have released 2 albums.
Keep an eye on the Blog, new updates will be added as they come.

New Demons & Wizards album.
In the newest MP3 interview, Jon Schaffer explained (among other things, see update of Blog below) there will be a new Demons & Wizards album. Schaffer said that he and Hansi have planned to start the new album in late 2009. There were no specific details on the basis of the album, only that they will not be tied down by record companies so they will be able to write and record the album as they see fit. Not much else to say about it as not much was said but I for one am looking foreward to this.

Phwoor... Way too long to go without a Blog.
Ok, first off I would like to apologise for the lack of activity on this page as I have been very busy with other things such as University and other shite excuses like that.
Now you all probably know as well as I do that there have been many cool things happening with Iced Earth, like the tour with Saxon, the newest European tour, the Ice Bucker, the very good-looking official fan page 'Minions of the Wicked' -
[ http://www.icedearth.com/minions/ind... ]
and the new offcial merchandise site, Webshop of the Wicked -

But there is one thing that my friend Michael <stratomikius> found on the web that I wanted to share, an interview with Jon Schaffer about the transition from Tim Owens back to Barlow and the two albums in general, it’s stuff we have all heard before but on the third page of the interview there was something that I wanted to mention to everyone on here. Chad Bowar, the interviewer asked Jon if Framing Armageddon would be re-recorded with Matt, to which Jon replied that it is going to happen...
Not only that, he further explains about a new boxset with re-mastered versions of Both CDs, the DVD we have waiting for since back when Framing Armageddon was just released and a graphic novel to help explain the story more in-depth.
When I first heard about this I knew I was going to buy it, but obviously most people are all going to be thinking the same thing, "Why buy what I already own?" The same thing happened with the Century Media release of all of their albums in one boxset, it didn’t sell well. But with the DVD and the graphic novel, plus having Framing Armageddon with Barlow singing will definitely pull more people to it. Whatever happens, I'm looking foreword to this one dude's.
Here is a link to the whole Interview with a lot more information:

UPDATE: (Information taken from the new MP3 Interview with Jon Schaffer)
The DVD is going to be called "Festivals of the Wicked" It is going to include the Wacken 2007, Rock Hard 2008 and Metal Camp 2008 shows and there will be some extras like a behind-the-scenes kind of documentary. It will also include videos from “Framing Armageddon” and “The Glorious Burden” and a gallery of photos taken by Ross Halfin and Rudy De Doncker. It will be at least a 3 disk set, maybe even 4 disk.

I ruv it awlll!
What did you think of Framing Armageddon then? Just coz they released one album you didnt like doesnt mean you should condemn them.

Ok seriously for fuck sake, almost everytime I have checked on this page over the past few weeks the number of fans has been constantly climbing and now it decides to stop on 499!! All I want is one fucking more! Thats all!
Go on then Mike, threaten people with death if they dont join! Still only 499 fans..
We could use bully tactic's? i think im still a moderator for this page. maybe i should do what i should have done a looong time ago....
