The 21st of December will be my last day at LGBT Youth Borders – when I finish the local services like 1-2-1 meetings will have to stop - BUT they'll start again once a new worker is in post which will hopefully be as soon as possible in the new year.

Also, you don't have to wait until there's a new worker if you need to talk to anyone or get some advice. My colleague Daniel from our Edinburgh office will be available by phone or email to speak to you until someone new arrives - contact him on 0131 622 2266 or daniel.winstanley@lgbtyouth.org.uk . Daniel provides advice and support for a lot of young people, so you'll be in good company if you get in touch with him.

Want to get tested but don't know where to go?

NHS Borders sexual health services have a website at http://www.borderssexualhealth.org.uk/ - there's lots of sexual health info and advice, and 'Our Clinics' section at the top of the page will show you your local clinic and the times they're available.

I've met a lot of the staff who work at the clinics and they're lovely! They're there to provide a confidential, non-judgemental service - so don't worry, don't wait, just visit or phone them whenever you need.
