Grandad i really can't explain how much i miss you. I remember that day of my dance show, my dance teacher came and got me and said i had to go home as your really ill so needed to see you, but i wish i could of turned back time and said "No I'm not going, Grandad would want me to carry on with the show and make him proud" And yeah you really would of wanted me too but i didn't ... But then i do wish we got to the hospital in time to say bye, but dad didn't even get to ours in time, + I'm sorry we never got to the hospital. But that day when we came to see you, i wish i kissed you goodbye but i just couldn't bare seeing you not awake. I'll always remember the funny things you did, nicking Nan's food .. And when you and nan would always argue over the most stupidest things!!.. I loved the way you just sat back and relaxed, watching nan do everything for you haha. Not so long ago we was watching the video of Ireland when the lads were fishing so you took the video recorder to film them then you was walking back with the video recorder and was filming then you tripped on your back, and you just got back up casually like no one saw, but we saw it all in the video!! You were strong, i thought you could pull through this, but you didn't pull through this time. You were the only granddad i got close too and actually knew very well. Every time we go to Ireland and come and see your grave, i just wanna stay there all the time but i know can't. I know your with us when we're in Ireland, in the house, you must of took our socks when we last went over there because all of them went missing, haha. I've got tears whilst writing this, silly me hey? Lol. It was so hard the day of your funeral, but i kept my tears in for Nan. I can't believe how many people went, you popular guy! It is hard to accept to know that your not here, but I'm not saying goodbye, because goodbye means forever! On the third year, it hit me that you passed away, i was in a state, but ya know what kept me going? It was you! I could hear you saying to me "stay brave young girl". I've wrote a letter to you, know one has seen it apart from me! You will see it soon, don't worry. I tell you everyday, how good you were to your family and how much we all miss you and ya know what? I know that your listening to me! I know i haven't turned out for the best and done things wrong, but i'm trying my best to change for you, because i love you and want to make you a proud Grandad. I'm gonna be brave for you and smile through everything like i have already, Cause i know you wouldn't want your little grand-daughter being unhappy! But I really can't put down in words how much i love you and miss you. You kept the family together and made us all so happy.
I'm trying my hardest to change for you, because i know your looking down on me and i need to make you proud. I don't want to make you mad. I still believe your here no matter what anyone says, I love going to the house in Ireland, cause i know your with us and i can sometimes here you at night, i know people are thinking i sound silly but i don't care. It's boxing day tomorrow all the family are going to yours even though your not here your still gonna be with us. Nan still puts "love from nanny + grandad" in our birthday and x-mas cards. I always know when i'm crying my eyes out about something, i just stop and smile cause i know your telling me to stop and i love knowing your still here to care about me. Grandad i know this sounds horrible but i'm glad you passed away because you weren't in pain everyday anymore, no more hospitals or needles and you've also made me a stronger person & i do thank you a lot for that. I am truly sorry for everything bad i'm doing or have done, I'm trying to stop for you. I'm looking out for Nan more now, you 2 were a pretty cute couple to be honest haha.
