THE NEW FIGHTING CONCEPT
The name I gave to a fighting art that I developed.
It is a reflection of the experience I have obtained over 35 years.

To have your say, send comments to lenmuaythai@yahoo.com

I've put together a short story
"I've had the privilege to train and fight with Leonard Meyer from the age of 11 years old till the age of 23 years old.
Leonard took me in as a person that didn't even know what a punch was and as a young boy whom was scared to take punches and get into fights and he molded me into the best South African fighter within my weight division.
Leonard Meyer is one of the most successful trainer / couch and mentors that I have ever worked with. His love and passion for the fighting world is non that I've seen anywhere else before and I've had the chance to work with different people / Trainers and he comes up tops hands down.
His attention to detail and will of winning is by far the best I've come to know of and that would explain why his fighters have always been the best, results speak for itself.
He is more that just a trainer, he is also a good friend, inspiration and a good role model to all his students paying good attention to the good qualities of each and molding them into brilliant fighters, all with their own unique style.
The New Fighting Concept to this day remains a force to be reckoned with within any martial arts field for the simple reason that styles constantly adapt and change to meet the criteria of each different fight.
My personal fight record with Leonard is last 52 fights unbeaten with 1 loss on points".

    My achievements are as follows:
    • Chosen for the Junior amateur springbok kickboxing team in 1993
    • Various Amateur South African Titles
    • Youngest Professional light middleweight Muay Thai Champion at the age of only 18 years old (unbeated)
    • K1 Africa 2000 superfight winner (by TKO)

    Regards

    Bruce-Lee "Bad Company" Petzer

Iv trained with many good hard working trainers who have accomplished a lot in there lives and who have taught me so many things, but training with uncle Len has been good for me in many ways, the one thing he has taught me that stands out the most and which I think is one of the most important things in a fight is to relax and stay calm at all times. Uncle Len you a good person who tries to do the best for everybody in your life and thats one of the best qualities i like about you and I think this is why I trust you in my corner thanks for all the ring knowledge and for being more than just a trainer but more of a good family friend your hero Giovanni

AFTER TRAINING IN OTHER GYMS,WITH SOME OF THE BEST,I HAVE TO SAY,NOTHING COMPARES TO TRAINING WITH LEN.HE MOULDS YOUR TALENT INTO SOMETHING BEAUTIFUL,ALWAYS ADDING HIS OWN TOUCH TO EACH INDIVIDUAL.WE ARE NOT A GYM OF ROBOTS BEING MANUFACTURED BY SOME HUGE COMPANY,EVERYTHING BEING DONE WITH RULES AND REGULATIONS.NO,NONE OF THAT.AND SO,EACH FIGHTER HAS SOMETHING UNIQUE,SOMETHING OF HIS OWN TO BRING TO THE CROWD.SOMETHING ORIGINAL.AND LEN,OFCOURSE,SHAPING ALL OF THAT INTO WHAT COMES BREATHTAKINGLY CLOSE TO PERFECTION.I CANT IMAGINE BEING FREE TO LOVE BOXING THE WAY I DO,NO HOLDS BARRED WITHOUT SUCH A BRILLIANT TRAINERS MIND GUIDING ME WITH EACH STEP INTO THE UNKNOWN WITH SUCH CONFIDENCE,TRUST AND BELIEF.NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE HERE! -SANDRA ALMEIDA-

    whats up lendog
fx toole wrote that boxing is the magic of men in combat, the magic of will, and skill, and pain, and the risking of everything so you can respect yourself for the rest of your life.
i was sorry to hear about giovanni's loss when he had his title shot. and i read your letter that you sent to the pkc. not having seen it theres not too much i can say about that fight.

    WHO IS MR BOXING?
The very first man that decided this is how we box is not human, because he is followed by many brain washed believers in his magical system...HEY wake up he is just a man like the rest of us, not God......Who says he is right..... so what do you base your argument on....Freedom is my true teacher.

Beyers acid test In Frankfurt at the or the 24 years old Ronneburger Marcel Beyer experienced the bitterest moment of its career, when he was ausgeknockt to points clearly lying in front by the South African Donovan Luff in the 4th round. This was the first K.o of its entire career and at the same time the first defeat after 11 professional fights. On 24 August it begins its comeback against the 26 years old Czech Robert Sulgan, which won 6 of its 9 fights. Sulgan wants to use its outsider chance. Marcel Beyer is the official challenger German masters of Andreas Sidon and must this position on 24 August with a good achievement confirm.
WHAT PEOPLE DONT KNOW DONOVAN WAS A TOTAL AMATEUR WITH A FEW MONTHS BOXING TRAINING THROWN INTO THE PROFESSIONAL RANKS AND INTO THE DEEP END.

    GOODBYE SANDRA

Sandra lost her fight on a points decision
Due to work Sandra had left for Johannessburg. I believe that this contributed to Sandra,s loss. How ever it's sad for me to say this , but Sandra and myself have cancelled our contract with each other, she will train and be managed by Manny Fernandos. I wish her all the best in the future with boxing.
    We will always be friends.
Cheers Sandra, MY MILLION DOLLAR BABY.
