Then exams. I should really start studying, but I just cant bring myself to. How can I get the motivation to re-hash something I already learnt when there's so much more new stuff out there to learn about.!?

And yup, they are different, school year starts in February. It'd be odd not having the school year coincide with the calendar year.

Ahhh trans-hemispheral differences.
My most confusing trans-hemispheral moment was when I was reading Harry Potter, I think it ws Goblet of Fire.
Trelawney was guessing Harrys birthday, and she said something to the effect of "you were born in mid-winter" and Harry said "I was born in July" then the whole class laughed and I was like "what the hell, she got it right".

Took me a few minutes to figure it out. (My confusion probably wasn't helped by the fact that I'm born in July.)

Yeah, Calculus is just this magnificent pure form of logic. Everything just works together so nicely, and I love how when you're working out a problem all the components of it come together at the end to give your desired result.

That's true, popular science is dumbed down. But I dunno, I think I kind of like seeing the authors personality, and opinions, which you dont really get in text books.
Scientists just have the most amazing senses of humour.

I'll probably do science of some variety. But my problem is I find every aspect of science fascinating. How am I supposed to choose? I'm probably better at physical sciences than I am biological.. but then i'll always have a soft spot for population genetics. Stupid decisions.

Things here are good. It's starting to warm up which is nice, and days getting longer . Though this also means my hayfever plays up, and the Spiders begin reappearing.
And school holidays just started, so I've been doing crap all the last few days, it's brilliant!
My last school holidays ever, I only have 4 weeks left of high school! I'm freaking the hell out!

And it's from Doctor Who.
In one episode set in Cardiff they had the translation into Welsh and I made the effort to remember it because:
a) I'm a total Doctor Who nerd, and
b) Knowing just a little bit of other languages makes me feel cultured.
