    • String Jam Club Gallashiels

      Went to see Martin Simpson play here last Saturday. It's a fantastic wee club just like Folk Clubs used to be. Eighty of us crammed into a wee room over a bar. Teh floor spots were magic as well. It's definately a musicians club this one.

      Martin Simpson was excellent as usual. As well as the brilliant guitar playing he's a grand singer and a great, laid back, style of presentation.

      The only draw back was the two hour drive home late at night. next time I'll take the caravan.

      well it will be a while before he even makes it down the street at this rate - cant quite get the balance thing and isn't great at peddling. he's having a wee break to play with his mates - think he's a bit fed up with it. hurt my leg trying to help him balance :(

      Trying to help the wee guy ride his bike! Total nightmare! He's trying really hard but getting a bit frustrated - I'm about ready to pull my hair out :D Hopefully he'll be scooting about on it by the end of the day and I can get some peace.
