Cancer Bats Gig
Hey been a while since i reviewed a gig so ill start with my first of 2009. Cancer Bats in Belfast 23rd August 2009. Brilliant. First band were pyschic kids or something liek that. Electro band...honestly they wer ein the wrong gig to be supporting. I thought they were shit but maybe thats cause i dont like that music. Anyway they played and i thanked god it was over. Then a band from Sheffield came on. Dont ask me to remember the name its on my bands seen. They were very random. More what i like but still not great. Just seemed the hit random strings on the guitar. Wee bit screamo but they were ok i give them that. My bands photographer was taking their pictures for the gig. Had a chat with him after. Anyway Cancer Bats came on and wow amazing. Just powerful music and stage presance. The interaction weas good and because it was a small venue it was more intimate whihc was brilliant. Was in the pit most of the set. Suprisingly played Hail Destroyer half way through but was a well thought out set list. The encore they played bastasds Waltz. The mic was shoved in front of my face for the course once...i got to sing with cancer bats lol even though all i yelled was Coughing Up Blood. Was a brilliant gig. Doesnt meet my some of my bands but when your rying to match gigs like Maiden, Megadeth and head charge you have a mountian to climb. Anyway ill definately see them again and if you get the chance i really advise you seem them.0 Commentaren 224 dagen

The Haunted Concert
Great concert. Really enjoyed seing them live. First band on were Wolf. Old school Thrash/powr metalists. Enjoyed them though the bassist looked like he was ment to be from the 80's hair metal scene. Was enjoyable. Municipal Waste were next. What a bunch of crazy moshers. Can't say their music was great but for a live show wow. They brought out body boards and we just hit each other it the mosh pit with them. They are a good live act if you like moshing i guess. The Haunted were brilliant. Played all their singles. Long enough set for them but crowd interactment was rubbish. They did put on a good set but could have been so much more enjoyable. The singer looked like he was on i dont know what. Eyes were nearly out of his head and his ears im pretty sure picks up Sky Sports lol. Well good night i enjoyed it. Worth the money.0 Commentaren 942 dagen

36 Crazyfists Concert
Ah what a good night. A much needed night out. First band were called Hade's Chariot. Looked at their merch and thought yes a death metal band. They came on stage. Well they couldn't look more emo if they tried...but ah ha they actually were a death metal band....what? They were ok i guess. The singer went to stage dive and everyone moved away and he fell flat on his face lol. That happen right beside me it was hilarious. The bassist came into the mosh pit and started moshing with his Bass and hit i think 2 people with the machine head lol. Anyway they were a laugh if anything. The second band was a band i have a few songs from called Twleve Tribes. I really enjoyed them. I like their sudio stuff but live wow they blew me away. Loved every second of them. Pits were brilliant for them aswell. Then as we all came to see 36 CrazyFists came on. Brilliant set. Bit short but good. Pits were great for them. Played all the singles and a few other songs and of course they finished with Slit Wrist Theory. Well enjoyed concert. Just what i needed to take my mind off things for a while.
