- st marys snooker club in mullingar is located on bishopgate street next to the fas centre.the club is a small club but has 2 full size professional snooker tables and a professional pool table.the front room holds one snooker table with seating available all around.well known 6 time world snooker championship finalist jimmy white played on this table many years ago.the westmeath ranking events are all held in this club,the biggest snooker championships in westmeath are the Mullingar Open snooker championship,Westmeath open snooker championship,Midland open snooker championship and the classic open snooker championship.all of these events are the ranking events for the season.

the perfect player
there was a lad of the tender age of 5.on that christmas,santa broughr him a snooker table.this little boy played and played until he fell asleep.everyday he would play this game and everyday he got better.when he reached the age of 8 he joined a local snooker club.by then he was able to beat lads 20 years older then him.when he reached the age of ten a great and special moment happened,he had made his first century break.from then on,everyone knew this lad was a talent,a natural talent that anyone had ever seen.at the age of 15 he got his first 147 break.an excellent break at that age.he was now know as the child prodigy.he is in his thirtys now and has made the fastest 147 break in the world.he has been world champion twice and is still regarded as the best and most naturally talented player in the world....
