- Hey!
My name is André Tristin Tardiff. Born and raised in Canada but lately I've been travelling the world. You can actually see some of my adventures on bebo since I co-starred on a travel-reality show on Bebo from May-November 2008! The show's profile is at www.bebo.com/andretardiff_canada

- City of God, the Inidiana Jones Trilogy, Gladiator, Pulp Fiction, Narina (favorite childhood story book, c'mon is nostalgic). Hah i have tons more I just can't think of them right now. I really like epics and not so hollywood ending movies.

- Heights! But they don't stop me! The most exciting thing I did last summer as a hot air balloon adventure over london Ontario!

- Meeting new people, having something to look forward to, being in the company of an attractive girl, eating delicious foods, being with friends, sleeping, exercising and playing sports, painting, photography, good tv series, good cartoon series, exploring new things, and anything creative, intelligent, and imaginative, etc etc.

Bratislava transforms into Partyslava!
It was really cold, almost to the point of being miserable and Dave and I were looking out our window overlooking the city and wondering what the heck we should for New Years Eve in Bratislava?! Do we go clubbing? Do we look for a house party? We get just drunk and chill out or wander the streets?
Turns out there was this massive party in the old town central squares. Infact there were 3 different sections each set up with a big performance stage. There were so many people at each that the temperature was actually fairly mild from all the body heat!
I couldn't believe the immense party going on! We started off hanging out with our couch surf host Eva and then 3 of her friends joined us and we had sour cabbage soup (a specialty here) and then after several drinks we took a mad dash and barely made the last bus to the city center! Close one. Then we ofcourse checked out the three main venues where I bought THE biggest bottle of Heineken beer I've ever seen (1.5 liters) and ended up having an AMAZING night.
What was also special was that the Slovak Crown (their currency) was retiring that night and being replaced by the Euro Jan 1st 2009 so there was extra special celebration and fireworks! It was fantastic. I had such a great time! What a party! Best New Years ever.
Did not regret it one bit

Bratislava
Such a cold country! Much colder than the UK, but not as cold as Canada!
(But in Canada I have much warmer clothes to wear!)
We explored the old town. Nice cultured area to see. It was so cold we sought shelter in a students pub and had dinner. I managed to sneak in a nap before we met some locals and talked for a few more hours while we waited for our couch surfer host to arrive. The locals here and so friendly and enthusiastic about meeting travellers!
Our couch surf host also turned out to a really lucky break! She's a med student in rez dorms and her dorm mates are gone for the holidays so Dave and I each get a bed to ourselves (YES no one has to take the floor!) and our own room and key! Warm showers, heating, internet, and nice clean washrooms! This place is better than most of the guest houses I visited in SE Asia! hah.
Anyway today off to do some exploring and it's New Years Eve!
