Thats all you got here folks...mile after mile of mall after mall, many many malls, major malls and mini malls, they put the mini malls inbetween the major malls and inbetween the mini malls they but the mini marts and inbetween the mini marts you got the car parks, petrol stations, muffler shops, laundromats, cheap hotels, fast food joints strip clubs and dirty book stores....
One transcontinental commercial cesspool...and how do the people feel about this? how do they feel about living in a coast to coast shopping mall...
they think its just fucking dandy!.
Thats where they get to satisfy their 2 most prominent addictiions at the same time...shopping and eating, millions of semi-concious people day after day shuffling thrtough the malls, shopping and eating..they are fatally attracted to the slow death of fast

What is Plutonomy?
Plutonomy refers to a society where the majority of the wealth is controlled by an ever-shrinking minority; as such, the economic growth of that society becomes dependent on the fortunes of that same wealthy minority.
Do you think it is possible to consider yourself moral, decent and compassionate AND support Capitalism? or is it a case of well..."if I don't play ball I starve so morals will just have to wait."...wait for what I am asking you honestly for your opinion....
Instead of offering the tired answers like "thats just the way things are" or "I hate it but its never gonna change" why not discuss, comment, question or make statements about what you think would lead to solutions.
Impossible? Futile?
....Less than 130 years ago we were without the light bulb, female voting power, radar, x-ray, trans-atlantic broastcasts of any kind. Slavery was just made illegal in America and Tv was in its infancy.
Now we have craft landing on other planets and scientists are talking in real terms about manned stations on the moon...less than 3 life times later.Look how far we have come.
We don't need to accept Capitalism and talk as if you have exhausted all other posibilities. We all know money in actual fact holds back progress after all if a politicians campaign is funded by an energy company its in his interest to delay and restrict renewable energy. Your phone, Tv, Laptop are all designed to break down in a certain time frame to keep you purchasing a new one...when it is entirely possible to have a light weight durable stylish looking model of phone with replaceable components for updating. We all wish for the same thing...happiness...security. A tribesman in the center of the Amazon doesn't dream of having a flashy car or 3 storey House with a pool because its outside his experience. So remember to keep an open mind when you dream of how things could be.

Religous but not ridiculous...
Being an Aethiest its all too easy to see the obvious flaws in religous thinking but one sentiment I definitely agree with is the oneness which is popular in religous writings of man and nature. Here are some good quotes by religous people.

I didn't want it to go back in the box...

So I learnt everything that I clutch and hoarde and consume....Im gonna lose it all.
Not much of an R.O.I on that...
So you have to ask yourself....
When you suddenly get the ultimate promotion, when you make the ultimate purchase, buy
the ultimate home, when you have stored up financial security and climbed the ladder of success to the highest rung you can possibly climb...
And then thrill wares off......and it will ware off....
Then what?
How far do you have to walk down that road before you see where it leads?
Surely you understand it will never be enough...
so you have to ask yourself the question....what matters?

It's useless to criticize the culture without providing alternatives.
