- I am Bob Slayer tour manager of Electric Eel Shock
I am also the head of security for some fella calling himself MC Devvo
When I was younger and lighter I was a National Hunt Jockey
I rode in several hundred races
But then I got fat
And I broke my back
It was time to move on
As a side effect of being a jockey I owned a horsebox, one day in the pub a guy asked me if I could drive some gear in it around Europe as he had been let down, the next day I was on tour with Wizzard.
I roadied for other bands such as Black Sabbath, Deep Purple and The Wurzels. I was asked to take a band to Japan, I have little memory of what happened but I have since learnt that driving to the first gig the bus crashed killing everyone in it except me. Thus confirming that I am not a very good Tour Manager.
