Hi my names David Tashnizi (AKA TAZ!). I Play in a hard rock blues band called the Howlin Gaels and we rock around the clock. Started playing in the Howlin Gaels in 1998 and have been playing with them ever since. We have recorded 2 albums so far the first one we recorded was back in 1999 which did very well and our new one which we've just finished this year called Lonely Road which is doing well. We have just finished rehearsals with a new guitar player and are ready to hit the road again! We will be doing various gigs around Scotland and are hoping to do a small tour of somewere this year. We are also constantly working on original material for our next album. ME ON MUSIC!
Music is my life! I have a vast CD collection of music from all over the world, ranging from classic albums to classical! and jazz and beyond. There is nothing better in the world than rocking the numbers out with my band The Howlin Gaels and when I'm not doing that I'm either listening to it dreaming about it talking about it and hey! strumming on my acoustic in the house with a nice glass of red wine is not bad either! My ambitions in music are to play a stadium gig and my main one is to write music for film or documentary.

To me music is the most powerful art form on the planet it can change your mood it can lift you when you are down it can sooth you when you are sore from life. All over the world it has a huge impact on our ever troubled world and modern culture as we no it. The beautiful thing is music is as old as the rocks and the trees whether it was some ancient tribe many moons ago singing to the spirits or the black rail road workers playing the blues.

THE MAIN GUITAR STYLE I LOVE IS HARD ROCK SO OBVIOUSLY THAT STYLE IS ASSOCIATED WITH THE ACTION MOVIE GENRE. WHEN I WATCH A PEACE OF VISUAL ENTERTAINMENT I ALMOST DO IT FRAME BY FRAME. I LISTEN AND WATCH CAREFULLY TO THE WAY A PEACE OF MUSIC FOLDS IT'S WAY ACROSS THE MOVEMENT OF A SCENE. UNFORTUNATLEY THESE DAYS WITH THE WAY HOLLYWOOD ARE CHURNING OUT YOUR BLOCKBUSTERS AND JUST FILM IN GENERAL THE MAIN AUDIO VISUAL SOUNDTRACK MARKET IS IN AMERICA. BUT YOU ALSO HAVE THE INDIAN FILM MARKET WHICH MANY OF YOU WILL NO AS "BOLLYWOOD" WHICH AS FAR AS I AM CONCERNED IS SOME OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL MUSIC EVER WRITTEN FOR FILM. BOLLYWOOD MUSIC IS ALL CONNECTED TO A DANCE.

      ALTHOUGH BRITAIN IS GETTING THERE WITH YOUR CERTAIN CULT MOVIES AND I FIND THAT A LOT OF YOUR BRITTISH SOUNDTRACK MUSIC FALLS IN TO THE INDIE CATEGORY FILMS LIKE TRAINSPOTTING, LOCK STOCK AND TWO SMOKING BARRLES AND SO FOURTH. YOU ALSO HAVE THE OTHER GENRE OF CULT FILM THAT BRITAIN IS RENOUND FOR YOUR ROMANTIC COMENDY CULT CLASSICS LIKE NOTTING HILL AND FOUR WEDDINGS AND A FUNERAL WHICH PRODUCED THE NUMBER ONE HIT BY WET WET WET. BUT BRITAIN IS ALSO RESPONSABLE FOR WRITING SOME WONDERFUEL ORCHESTRAL PARTS FOR FILM. BUT WE DO HAVE A WAY TO GO YET UNTIL WE ARE TO CATCH UP WITH THE LIKES OF HOLLYWOOD AND BOLLYWOOD WHO PRODUCE THE FINEST FILM AND SOUNDTRACK MUSIC IN THE WORLD TODAY.
