like... the lab component in the mcq test.. i only got 60% out of the 20% or 10% that was weighted in the mcq test. Mid semester test = mcq test lol cuz it's held around the middle of semester.

malpas is a dick. his questions are so vague, it's like one line question that's worth 20 marks. so you can go down the completely wrong track and get 0, and you wouldn't even know it. He expected you to draw mind maps and diagrams, so if you don't think like him, you won't get full marks. he sucks ass!

UMAT counts, but not heaps, it's not like otago where it's actually important to get high marks. i'm not sure about the neglecting part, you definitely can't fail it (i.e. get less that 20%), but people with not so good umats have gotten into med before. the grades are definitely worth more.. I think the standing is.. 60% grades, 15-20% umat and 30-35% interview.

hm03...hm... write about stuff that you can talk abut during the interview. cuz they will pick things out of it as ask you.

forget about econ... it's not that important.. paper haas plussage if i could remember correctly.

the mcq for mid sem medsci isn't that bad.. but make sure you do the labs really well... i think last year i got 90% for course material and 60% for lab material in the mid sem.. and that really hit hard on my grades cuz i didn't concentrate on learning the lab stuff properly. the mcqs for lab and worth slighly less that the ones for course material, but not by that much, so learn the labs well.

eco is just about bullshiting (no offence). it's the study of how people use money. we're people and we use money. so just write how you think the general population will work.. and add a few eco jargon in it and your done. the lady is a really easy marker, so even if youu don't know the answer, just write down your thoughts about it, and she'll give you a mark.

i'm going... stressed haha it's been pretty cruisey this half of sem and now all of a sudden i have 3 tests and 3 assignments due at the beginning of next half.. so yea.. better put them night vision goggles on cuz i ain;t sleeping for a while... other than that... um.. i want to the med ball with my bf and that was pretty fun.. had a few birthdays.. trying to work them off at the gym lol

don;t worry too much about the physics test, i remember that hardly anyone finished last year.. and yes.. most people spent most the their time of mechanics (since it was 1st) them mass crammed for electricity (which was a lot easier than mechanics).. i came out of that test shaking.. to be fair i did pretty bad.. but so did everyone else.. in the end.. they mass scaled everything so it'll be alright la i ended up with an A- after getting a B- in the test lol *patpat* don't stress too much

Then you should get a laptop, those are ok... You can use them at school too, my laptop is borderline not operable with Vista. Gonna re-install XP soon. <_< laptop parts are always like 20-30% weaker than their desktop counter parts. -.-;;;

No offence, but it means your RAM (random access memory) for your pc sucks.
