Arrived at the hospital on the 20th(monday) at 8:10pm, i didnt get into a hospital bed until 9:50pm and immediently i was hooked up to a ctg monitor to see how bubs was going + to see if i was having contractions etc.. i was hooked up 2 the ctg monitor until 10:45pm. my partner then left and the hospital would call him when my contractions were 5minutes apart(which wouldnt be for ages is what they said) i had my gels put in at 11pm and i was hooked back up to the ctg monitor for an hour this time, just to see my contractions and bubs. (21st July) at 12 i was taken off the monitor-they noticed i had a few contractions but nothing serious. so they let me shower and sent me to the maternity ward-i didnt get to sleep until 1:30am as i had to have a pain killer as i was having pains already.. i awoke at 4am with pains that were like period cramps but twice as bad, so i asked for some pain killers + hot water bottle, and i walked round the maternity ward for half an hour to try to settle my pains, i then went back to bed, and finally fell back to sleep at around 4:45am. at 6:45am i was woken up by a midwife to be moved back to the labour ward for my internal, another ctg and for my waters to hopefully be broken. from 7:30am til 8am i was on a ctg again! but this time i had quite a few contractions but nothing that was saying LABOUR HAS BEGUN! unfortunetly.
at 8:30 i had an internal(so not comfortable) and i was only 1.5cm dilated, the doctor managed to break my waters and by 9am i was having contractions that were 15minutes apart. i ate my breakfast and then had a shower. i had to have an IV as i was induced, by 10 i was moved into the end room(bigger labour room) and i was constantly msging mum + col to keep them updated. at 10:30 i told them both to come in as my contractions were between 5-7minutes apart.. they arrived by 11. during the time i was in labour i kept saying i couldnt do it anymore, and that i wanted to go home(haha silly me) at one stage i sed 2 my mum that i wanted 2 go hm, and she replied with "if you can get off this bed, get urself down stairs and drive urself home then u can go" i replied with "f that!" haha. also i sed 2 mum "i cant do this anymore" mum replied with "i bought ethan a caterpillar rocker, so u need to do this as someone needs 2 ride it" i then replied with "ill f*kin ride it! " haha i even had a sense of humour during labour-rofl. i tried a warm shower but it made me feel sick from standing up. i tried the gas also-but that made me sick also. i did vomit a few times from the IV and had to have strong nausea medication to stop it. at 1:30pm the midwife did an internal and i was only 3cm dilated and said it would be ages yet. at 2:30pm mum left and 10minutes later col rang her and told her i was saying i need to poo or push, at 3 the midwife did an internal again and this time i was 8.5cm dilated! (so much for 1cm every hour! haha!) ffs. i ended up having pethadine as the contractions were painful and 3minutes apart(during all my contractions i kept falling asleep between contractions-haha) at 4pm i started pushing, and it really bloddy hurt! and i fell asleep between pushing also.. the midwife noticed the cord was wrapped round bubbys head, and i had to push and then pant, and push slowly and pant(which i think hurt more) then she realized that he wasent coming any further, she realized that his shoulders were caught behind my pubic bone and she had to shove her hands up my vaggi and pretty much yank him out whilst i pushed abit..

ethan michael was born at 5:08pm on July 21st
weighing 8pounds,14ounces and measuring 51cm.

Labour was 5hours 7minutes, and i was only pushing for an hour and 7minutes
Very quick labour which i was happy about in the end.
mum, col and 2 midwifes were present at his birth
and hes absoutely gorgeous.

well im 31 weeks tomorrow only 9 weeks to go or 64 days is how i keep telling myself..
only 64 days until hes due, and i can finally hold him in my arms.

Im loving being pregnant, its the MOST amazing feeling ever, from little squirms, kicks, hiccups and rolling that he does-everybit of it makes me giggle.
i couldnt have asked for a better moment to become pregnant, getting pregnant when i did helped me to grow up, take control of my life and become the person i always wanted to be.
even if that has meant loosing friends on the way-clearly they werent that good of friends in the first place anyway.. but ive made the greatest best friend ever- my mother..
she has been there thru everybit of my pregnancy helping me choose names, helping me with my worries and just being a excellent mother. i miss her everyday. but ill see her soon!

girls who want babies at young ages- go back and play with your dollies, and barbies! wait
until ur older, have a stable job, and a partner who adores u.. i was lucky enuf to have a partner who adores me, and was ready to commit to such a full time event in his life.
