- The Button Factory is the name of the refurbished Temple Bar Music Centre. Officially opened on October 2007 the venue is a whole new departure. A new layout, new capacity, state of the art pa and lights mark The Button Factory out as one of Ireland's most exciting venues.
With quality live music, excellent sound and lights and a higher level of comfort, The Button Factory is the ideal place to enjoy band's, dj's and other events. Weekly club nights give The Button Factory an extra dimension. The clubs run from Thursday to Sunday.
Our new layout has increased our capacity. The balcony has doubled in size and now has its own bar and seating for 90 people with a better view of the stage. In addition we have a newly revamped smoking terrace.
Our new PA System is a state of the art L'Acoustics system with a Digidesign Profile Digital desk ensuring the highest possible quality sound.

- Primarily a venue and performance space, the Button Factory was launched with a view to providing (under one roof) multifarious facilities and amenities for both burgeoning talent and established acts and performers in Ireland.
The Music Centre houses the Sound Training Centre, Elektra Studios (a 48-track digital studio), Temple Lane Rehearsal Studios (7 fully equipped rehearsal rooms).
The Music Centre is unique in that all elements of the building are integrated:
Elektra Studios facilitate the recording of Music Centre gigs, the Sound Training Centre students can relax and unwind in the Side Bar (and often put on their own gigs in the venue), the Press Department works closely with all facets of the company.
TBMC utilises all of its resources to the maximum. For potential performers, we can offer everything from rehearsal time and space, full professional performance facilities, to recording studio time, duplication and promotion.

Visual Specifications
Three screens situated stage left, stage right and centre. All three screens are rigged on motors to allow adjustment vertical up or down.
There are three projectors on the front of the stage for each screen approximately twenty feet from each screen.
At the front of house position there are two VHS players, (they do not support US. tapes). There is also 1 x Vision mixer. This allows the two VHS players to be mixed together.
There is a BNC, link to the stage; this can facilitate visual artists who wish to do a show on the stage during a performance. A BNC to male phono is required to do this, Artists must supply their own!
Connections
To Run a DVD, (player not supplied) requires a standard scart connection to video phono, also not supplied.
To run a laptop, requires a VGA connection on the laptop, connection lead supplied by TBMC.
WARNING: When visuals are connected to the vision mixer threw VGA a segment of the image will be lost. (This is due to software compatability)
Alternatively if there is a phono out of the laptop which is supported by a video card this will work fine.
S-Video is not recommended to be used with this current vision mixer.
Load In/Load Out
Bands usually load in from Eustace Street. Clampers are always in the area so keep an eye out. We recommend that you just park to load in and then move to a car park. Coaches can usually park beside Dublin Castle. We take no responsibility for any parking fines received... get in is usually approx 4.30. Get out is usually straight after the show.
