- Ecstatic melodies, sugar-spun choruses, underwired by brooding emotion, sweetness and turbulence combined. That's Ghosts. You might not be familiar with them yet, but trust us - in 2007 their harmony-drenched guitar-pop anthems will be impossible to avoid.
Newly signed to Atlantic Records, the London-based foursome's vast potential is signalled by their debut release, download-only EP Tales From Studio Six. Highlights include Musical Chairs - borne aloft by soaring melodies and a propulsive, floor-filling backbeat - and the eponymous track Ghosts, which takes the chiming, arena-filling melancholy of Coldplay and channels it into a delicate, swooning moment of perfect pop.
Despite all still being in their mid-twenties, Ghosts have been playing together for a decade. The band is made up of Simon Pettigrew (vox/guitar), Johnny Harris (drums), Robbie Smith (bass) and Mark Treasure (keyboards).
Their debut album, due in the Spring. Before then there's a limited edition 7" single, Musical Chairs/Departure Lounge and a residency at London's Water Rats in January.
Ghosts won't be content until their euphoric pop songs are echoing from the very biggest stages.

Hi ghosties,
We're delighted to let you all know that our new single 'Ghosts' is out today from all good record shops (and probably even the bad ones)!
On the CD you get a brand new B-side unavailable anywhere else, the beautiful 'Sweet Nothing', and on the 7" you get a rather tasty remix of 'The World Is Outside' by our very good friends Stellasound - one of whom used to be in the band back in the day! If you don't believe us that these new tracks are worth your pennies, we have put them up on our myspace player for a limited time so you can make your own mind up.
