Me, Myself, and I
"We believe in God, the Eternal Father & in His Son, Jesus Christ & in the Holy Ghost"

We have been born, as Nephi of old
To goodly parents, who love the Lord
We have been taught & we understand
That we must do as the Lord commands

We are as the army of Helaman
We have been taught in our youth
And we will be as the Lord's missionaries
To bring the world His truth

How can people be so thoughtless & disrepectful ? How is it that when you're out trying to do good, some people try to get you down ? They persecute, they judge, they criticize, they mock. Have you nothing better to do than to laugh, and scorn, scrutinize our every action and word ? We never said we were perfect. We don't claim to be and we never will be. We strive to continually better ourselves & use our own initiative to overcome the obstacles we face.
    We KNOW we're not perfect.
We KNOW that without adversity, how are we to know the difference between right & wrong ? Happiness & sadness ?
We KNOW that God lives, that Jesus Christ is His Only Begotten Son & that the Holy Ghost is also a member of the Godhead.
We will stand as witnesses of God at all times & in all things & in all places.
Nothing can stop His work, His church, His gospel from progressing.
We KNOW of the truthfulness of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
We KNOW the Book of Mormon and the Holy Bible to be the Word of God, as long as it is translated correctly.
We KNOW that Joseph Smith restored the Gospel to the earth today & that he is a prophet of God.
We KNOW that there is a living prophet today, President Thomas S Monson.
We KNOW that Jesus Christ is the Saviour of the world and that He will return in the last days.

As long as we stand united, all things can & will be accomplished

In the sacred name of Jesus Christ
    AMEN

It is better to light just one little candle
Than to stumble in the dark.
Better far that you light just one little candle,
All you need is a tiny spark.
If we'd all say a prayer that the world would be free,
A wonderful dawn of a new day we'd see...
And if everyone lit just one little candle,
What a bright world this would be..

    We are the missionaries
    We are the missionaries
To spread the gospel to the people
It is our duty to spread the Word of God

  • THE THIRTEEN ARTICLES OF FAITH

1 We believe in God, the Eternal Father, and in His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost.
2 We believe that men will be punished for their own sins, and not for Adam’s transgression.
3 We believe that through the Atonement of Christ, all mankind may be saved, by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel.
4 We believe that the first principles and ordinances of the Gospel are: first, Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ; second, Repentance; third, Baptism by immersion for the remission of sins; fourth, Laying on of hands for the gift of the Holy Ghost.
5 We believe that a man must be called of God, by prophecy, and by the laying on of hands by those who are in authority, to preach the Gospel and administer in the ordinances thereof.
6 We believe in the same organization that existed in the Primitive Church, namely, apostles, prophets, pastors, teachers, evangelists, and so forth.
7 We believe in the gift of tongues, prophecy, revelation, visions, healing, interpretation of tongues, and so forth.
8 We believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly; we also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God.
9 We believe all that God has revealed, all that He does now reveal, and we believe that He will yet reveal many great and important things pertaining to the Kingdom of God.
10 We believe in the literal gathering of Israel and in the restoration of the Ten Tribes; that Zion (the New Jerusalem) will be built upon the American continent; that Christ will reign personally upon the earth; and, that the earth will be renewed and receive its paradisiacal gglory.
11 We claim the privilege of worshiping Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men the same privilege, let them dworship how, where, or what they may.
12 We believe in being subject to kings, presidents, rulers, and magistrates, in obeying, honoring, and sustaining the law.
13 We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul—We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things.

  • Is Ezekiel 37:15-22 a prediction of the Book of Mormon?

    Sam Torrance by Sam Torrance
    Ezek 37:15-22
15The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying,
16Moreover, thou son of man, take thee one stick, and write upon it, For Judah, and for the children of Israel his companions: then take another stick, and write upon it, For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim, and for all the house of Israel his companions:
17And join them one to another into one stick; and they shall become one in thine hand.
18And when the children of thy people shall speak unto thee, saying, Wilt thou not shew us what thou meanest by these?
19Say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his fellows, and will put them with him, even with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in mine hand.
20And the sticks whereon thou writest shall be in thine hand before their eyes.
21And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the heathen, whither they be gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land:
22And I will make them one nation in the land upon the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king to them all: and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all:

LDS President Joseph Fielding Smith claimed: "Another remarkable prophecy concerning the Book of Mormon is in the thirty-seventh chapter of Ezekiel, verses fifteen to the end. The story is that the Lord commanded the prophet to take two sticks, one stick for Judah and his fellows and the other for Joseph and his fellows and join them together in his hand. By stick, as used in this scripture, is meant the writings, or scrolls, such as ancient books were in the days of Ezekiel. One of these was to be the sacred history of Judah and his fellows, the other the sacred history of Joseph and his fellows" (The Restoration of All Things, p.99, as quoted in LDS Collector's Library '97 CD-ROM).

However, chapter thirty-seven gives its own interpretation of the passage. At this time Israel was divided into two groups. Verse 18 states the people will ask for an interpretation of the joined sticks. In verses 19-22 the Lord declares that the northern and southern kingdoms shall be joined into one nation. This section does not have anything to do with a written record. It is a promise from the Lord relating to the restoration of Israel.

The word used in verse 16 for stick is the Hebrew word "ets," not the Hebrew word meaning a written record. Below are verses showing the various Hebrew words for wood and written records.

    Piece of Wood

    * Ezekiel 37:16 "Moreover, thou son of man, take thee one stick [ets-piece of wood], and write upon it,..."
    o Also "ets" in Num.15:32; 1 Kings 17:10; 2 Kings 6:6
    * Ezekiel 39:10 "So that they shall take no wood [ets] out of the field, neither cut down any out of the forests."
    * Ezekiel 41:22 "The altar of wood [ets] was three cubits high,..."

As you can see, the same hebrew word, "ets", is used in three different passages, and every single time it is used it is referring to a piece of wood, not to a scroll. Ezekiel 37 is clearly talking about the joining of the two divided nations.

  • 1 Person, 3 Purposes...

    Sam Torrance by Sam Torrance
Reading John 14 opened my mind to some new thoughts about the trinity that I'd like to share.

Our one God reveals himself in three different ways and three different purposes:

The Father, who we pray to.
The Son, who revealed God to us and paid the price for our sins. God was in the Son, reconciling the world to himself.
The Holy Spirit, who convicts the world of it's sin. Who is also God's gift to us, and God's way of always being with us.

Although God reveals himself in three ways, he is still one God and one person.

Everyone to themselves but yes i believe in Jesus Christ the son of god the father almighty. the trinity and all the gifting of the spirit. There is only one god who reighs in Heaven above. He died for me and rose from the dead. and is alive in heaven sitting at the right hand of god the father. he shall come again and judge the living and the dead. the only prophets i believe in are those mention in the holy bible. which was given to us by god. via moses the dead sea scrolls are proof. yes god can annoint anyone here on earth to bring a message he can use the down and out to do it. we are all sinners and have to keep being accountable to him through prayer. His spirit guides us. as for the book of mormon where is this book mentioned in the bible. never seen any verse that reflects on it in the holy bible, sorry but this is only my opinion no disrespect to anyone elses beliefs.
