- I’m a pretty big deal. From the day that my last stitch was sewn, I realised I was no ordinary teddy bear. I was destined to be a star. Bigger than Paddington. Bigger than even Pooh. I honed my acting skills at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Toys. At first it was hard to break onto the scene. Idiotic directors just saw me as eye-candy, a cutie-pie. They wouldn’t cast me in the grittier roles but that all changed with my role as washed-up, alcoholic detective McMurphy in the independent arthouse film “Bears in the Woods ll - Bear Naked”.
When I got the call to do the Lucozade ad I thought “You know, commercials aren’t really where I want to be as an artist.”. Afterall, the stage is where a Teddy should truly exhibit his craft. But the director kept calling me. He was adamant that I was the only Teddy that could pull off this part. And pull it off I did! Check out my “Making of...” below.

Hello
I just want to take a moment to thank you all for your interest. It is gratifying that so many people can still recognise true talent. Not like my now EX girlfriend who has as much creativity as a flea on a baboon’s posterior. She just didn’t get me, everyday it was ‘why don’t you get a real job?’ ‘How come I have to pay for everything?’ I mean, is it so much to ask your woman to stand by you, to support you? I don’t think so, so I gave her the furry elbow. Of course she’ll deny this and say she dumped me but that’s just because she technically got the words out first. I’d mentally dumped her long before that.
Anyway whatever, it’s over; I’m with a new ‘mystery blonde’. I don’t want to reveal any names in case the Paps start to hound us, but it’s going well so far. She says I’m just right.
Keep it real theatre fans.
