Maurice Coveney a.k.a. The Assassin is one of the first rapper's to come out of Cork City after releasing a 6 track cassette back in 1998 called Lyrical Assassination he kept on his grind to get his name known . Within a few month's the e.p. sold out completley and went to number one on Cork Multi Channel TV's Music Box show and Number 6 on Comet Record's chart . After gaining exposure in magazine's such as Hip Hop Connection and The Message Maurice soon after published his own hip hop magazine called Off The Hook Magazine . The mag sold out within a few day's of been put on the shelf . In 2003 he released Universal Boogie and is set to release his new mixtape Sasseme Street which is hosted by Tim Westwood host of BBC Radio One Rap show and Pimp My Ride UK . He will release his album soon after featuring guest's from here and the usa hit The Assassin up on My Space at www.myspace.com/theassassinsmyspace
