Ok, seriously. There is too much crap going on which I can not let by without a good rant.

Firstly, to BMW and their new car, the x6. What a hideous vehicle! I don't see how it's an SUV or a sports car. It looks like the foetus of an SUV kept is some kind of test tube over in Germany, which some desgner accidentally knocked over after BMW's annual Octoberfest party and claimed as one of his own.
This is not a question about shrinking one's penis by owning it, as most sports cars and SUV's do. Its a bold statement saying that you are more or less a hermaphrodite.

Secondly, to Volkswagen's Touareg. I noticed one yesterday, and it appears that they only have one ski rack on the roof. Its ugliness blended with impracticality, much like that of the olf Porsche spoilers that could house a US naval battlegroup. WTF is the point of that then? Is a hard man's spoiler? because it looks tacky and retarded. So here's a note to all German manufacturers of cars right now. Sort your shit out!

I shall move past the crappy cars and onto something else. How about Otago University. What a degree factory we have become. Too many poeple, not enough community. In all seriousness, does anyone really give a crap about what's going on around campus? And I'm not meaning the NORML/Campus Watch debate. That in itself deserves a rant, which I shall delve into later. I just notice how nobody seems to care about the direction of stuff, and are often too consumed in their own personal bubble. An example of this is the sheer number of balls, but all have consistently low turnout because nobody actually cares beyond their circle of friends. I could o on about how we can't rerach quarum at SGM's or how the likely turnout of elections for OUSA will only be around 15%.

I also have to rant at the retarded dreamers who want to impose their ideals by being an exec member. Each had dreams of introducing 4 day weeks, curing cancer and ending climate change, but very few understand what they are likely to get into. I fear we will be lead by the retarded, which makes for the appropriate line "The blind will be lead by the mentally challenged" - cyanide and happiness

Finally, for those who are bitching about NORML people being arrested, shut up! I'm sorry, but when the police intervene, they had every right to. you stink up the union lawn, and make the place appear less habitable than it should be. If you want to carry on, perhaps find somewhere new to do it in. I'm sure there's a more discreet place around campus that the police can't get you.
And for the record, being cuffed is not police brutality. If you don't think this is a socialist utopian society, fuck the hell off! If I read another week of letters and aticles in Critic, I am never going to read it again, and will endeavour to read Ian Wishart's Right-winged Investigate magazine instead to impose my own fascist beliefs upon the dropkicks and stoners of the Otago University community.

I have spoken and now want a drink.

Well, here I am trying to blog about something because I feel the urge to. This time, there is no hungover or poetic motivation. This is pure content Cory. Ok, well not 100 percent content, but nobody's ever perfect.

My last week or so at uni has been pretty interesting. And by interesting, I mean just plain boring. I did, however, manage to work alot and party hard in the same weekend. Good for me! Only I will never do that again. EVER! For more details, read below.

Booth's 22nd birthday casually clashed with my work. Oh, well. I guess I celebrated with a few drinks... ...and a few more...juts another couple...BLACKOUT. Cue waking up in ones bed alone again (dammit), but with numbers in one's phone (hey, hey!). Turns out your humble narator did meet some people last night.

Now you're all wondring, "why is that important?" Well, it is because I have been single for 13 months, and I'm getting bored of it. Much like everything else I get bored at after a while.

However, in more positive news, I did buy a PA system so I can bug the shit out of the neighbours with my vocals (sorry Alice). Its an attempt to further the band instead of its current stagnant point where we occasionally jam together among our studies. This may also have inspired Trav to pick up his drumsticks to form a Kings of Leon-esque kind of band. Now only need a cousin to take up an instrument (my bet is Booth on bass).

Now for my plug. I have decided to plug the Commerce Ball because I can. Plus I wanted to make a more inappropriate plug than my friend Kirsti, whose blatant advertising in her column was the cause of much dismay to David, wanky editor of shitty student magazine.
Anyway, its $40 for tickets and includes 4 free drinks, supper, live music and a bus rde to the ball venue. Its on the 1st of August and the theme is ä night at Buckingham Palace". I plug this also because of the hard work people have put in, and how much students don't seem to care anymore apart from Cookathons. maybe we should hold the ball there next time and make it nude theme.

In the meantime, I rest and prepare for my day of...uh...stuff, I guess.
