- Tutto su di me
- Originating from the Montreal area, this group first appeared in 1992, when it was called Necrosis; in the same year it was reincarnated under the name of Cryptopsy. With just a demo called Ungentle Exhumation and then the album Blasphemy Made Flesh (1994), the group acquired a solid reputation on the international scene. Their release of None So Vile in 1996 was the first burst of brilliance in their career. From that point the group clearly outclassed other groups by reinventing the style, today categorized as extreme music. Their album None So Vile will always be considered a grind classic.
In 1997, the addition of the vocalist Michael DiSalvo replacing Lord Worm added a very intense front man to the group.
At the end of 2003, Cryptopsy were proud to announce the return of the original member and legendary vocalist-lyricist Lord Worm. With Lord Worm back in the fold and a fifth studio album due in 2004 the future looks very promising.

New Line-up
Cryptopsy have announced their new line-up! With the addition of Maggie Durand on keyboards and Matt McGachy on vocals. I myself have heard the new vocalist with his old band 3 Mile Scream and I think he sounds awful...
You may all make your own judgement, by going here

I just hope the mighty Cryptopsy can actually do something with this Anders Friden wannabe =(

P.S. On the bright side, Maggie is kinda hot ^_^0 commenti 710 giorni

(Heart)Breaking News!
Lord Worm has left Cryptopsy again! This time citing health reasons as the main problem. Cryptopsy are seeking a replacement who can not only growl, but sing aswell
To add to this horrorfying news, they are seeking a keyboardist! This may be the end of Cryptopsy as we know it. I myself am severly depressed at this news... This may make or break Cryptopsy. I'll keep you updated.

He is pro
DEAL WITH IT YOU STUPID NIGGER!!
unique. cos his vocals were alot different, like it almost sounded like he sucked, and did he not write the music.
i agree about singing in metal, metal is not just alternative vocals. half of the metal bands in existance dont even scream, growl, ect
This band used to be origanal
Most albums after 2000 were discracefull
Espicaly the unspoken king
I mean clean singing in metal?
Cliche much

this matt magachy guy is just blegh.....
at least lord worm had somthing uniqu that bands didnt ussually have
Like said below, the band has gone in the wrong direction since the departure of Lord Worm, however None So Vile still kicks ass and Mounier is still a god!

i was just looking through my music and found this band and i must say...
u r top notch mofos
I might be the only Cryptopsy fan who thinks this. But The Unspoken King was better than And Then You'll Beg.
What did ATYB have? That one part in Shroud where all DiSalvo does is grunt? And maybe, if we're being extremely generous, Back To The Worms.
The Unspoken King might average around 60 breakdowns per minute, but at least it keeps you interested. If only to see if things will get worse.
these guys are kinda cool, me likey me do
R.I.P Cryptopsy
Just not the same without Lord Worm....
AMAZING!
agreement with the dude below, the new album is savage, and thats coming from a long time fan
