- Welcome to Alterosa.
The band's unique style reflects diverse influences, which range from Portishead and Interpol to Nine Inch Nails. Dark organ sounds, driven guitars and arresting rhythms combine with an understated female vocal to create an intense mood that commands attention.
The band's ethos, inspiration and aspirations stem from their desire to create a unique, honest set of songs with strong melodies that stick.
On-stage, the band's energy and passion fuels an all-involving, captivating live show.

CSI Lost Vagueness: Sub Rosa at Electric Picnic
Hi all!
If you happen to be one of the 35,000 discerning music fans heading to Electric Picnic this year, Sub Rosa will be performing on the main stage of the Lost Vagueness tent at 8pm on the Sunday night. Although I tell a lie: the organisers call it the "Lost Vagueness Asylum", which should give you an idea of the atmosphere to be sampled therein... Also to be found in the tent are the Lost Luck Casino (venture in at your peril), a well-stocked dispensary (LV-ish for bar) and a "recovery lounge", complete with hospital beds. To say it'll be epic is something of an understatement. More details can be found here: http://www.electricpicnic.ie/html/lo...
We're one of 12 bands (some of which have made the trip from London, France, Italy and Cuba), as well as several cabaret acts, to be gracing the stage. If you're coming to the Picnic, please do come and say hello - and even if you're not, do spread the word!
Hope to see you next weekend!
