  Hotpress Magazine have just announced that we (dc tempest) are down to the last 20 acts in the running to perform at the Music Show this weekend in the RDS. We need to out-vote the other 19 acts so please HELP!! ....

• Me, Myself & DC TEMPEST - Here's What's About To Happen

  Ok, so here's what we're up to. We're releasing ‘Coming Back Around’, which is the bands second release and follows their critically acclaimed ‘Into The Light EP’, which earned us a support slot with Bon Jovi at Punchestown, alongside Kid Rock and Razorlight. ‘Coming Back Around’ sees the band develop what Hotpress has described as their “tight and fully-formed” sound even further and gives a taste of what lies ahead for their debut album, which is scheduled for release in Summer 2009.
  
  Since we've started up which was in mid 2006 we've had our busiest year to date which has seen us playing headline shows, festivals and support slots with some of the cream of Ireland’s talent including The Chapters, Codes, Red Kid, The Kinetiks, Dark Room Notes, Cathy Davey, The Minutes, Giveamanakick and The Aftermath not to mention a member change which left us working even harder then ever to get up to speed again but we're back to normal these days.
  
  Our show in Whelan's is gonna be really great as we've got the excellent 'RED KID' supporting us for the launch night on October 9th. We're then playing in Tower Records the following day at 5pm on the actual day of the single release.

• Check My Flashbox. One of these guys is designing the new DC TEMPEST artwork, check it out......

  Well I've continued working with Steve Averill (aka Stephen Rapid), from the band 'Radiators From Space'. These guys were a big deal in the 80s on the Irish music scene and all of the guys have been working with the likes of The Pogues, Christy Moore, etc.
  
  I have been feeding Steve my thoughts on 'Coming Back Around', what it's about and what the sound of it is going to be once it hits your ears. When we worked on 'Into The Light' Steve had heard the title track and knew what I was looking for. On this one he just had to trust me when I explained the sound of the song. As I expected, he got it spot on. This mans a legend and he's the one in the brown suit singing on the youtube video in my Flash box. Enjoy.
