- Whitburn Flute Band was formed in 1962 by Tam Bell, Johnston Gray and Jimmy Abercrombie. Since then alot has happend including the band nearly folding, and a lot of new members have joined. We are getting better and stronger by the minute. If anyone is interested in joining, dont worry if you haven't played an instrument before as you would be taught.
