I'm totally stealing Lez's idea but screw it!

Alestorm: 1st gig of Wacken, they were fucking great, one hell of a live band and they even played the drunken sailor. Everyone there just turned into pirate loving metalheads!

Iron Maiden: Simply Epic, they played every one of their best songs. the setlist contained songs like "Rime of the ancient mariner", "fear of the Dark" and of course "Hallowed be thy name". and i finally got to hear number of the beast live...
The stage set was over the top...they had the powerslave set on for most of the show but they had like backdrops for every album pretty much!

Primordial: im only new to this kick ass Irish band, but they played all the songs i knew, i was pleased with that but they fucking kicked ass anyway they got such a buzz going and even dedicated "Coffin ships" to all the Irish there!

Job for a Cowboy: I sadly mostly saw these guys on the big screen and i wasnt in the chaotic pits and walls of deaths, but i was blown away at their live performance, they only have one album and EP out and they threw the crowd into a frenzy.

Unearth: I had only heard one of their songs, and im not even sure they played it but they put on one hell of a show. one hell of a lot of crowd surfers

Opeth: I love opeth but they only played 3 songs i knew...now being opeth that is like half their set but i still enjoyed the show...they played alot of the 1st 3 albums(which i didnt have at the time) so all the old school fans were happy. They did put on a pretty good show though, i'd deffinitely go see em now,knowing all the old that i didnt know at wacken

Children of bodom: they played the same setlist from dublin (With A cover of Jump and Umbrella thrown in) so i already knew what was coming after like 15 minutes, but as i expected they put on one hell of a show and alexi's interaction with the crowd was entertaining

As I Lay Dying: now i dont really like this band, but they put on one hell of a show, the crowd loved them!...I also found it funny how the lead singer who always has an emo fringe in the magazines had his hair parted in the middle and soaked in water before he came on stage

Carcass: Holy shit, Carcass reunited!? what more can i say!? they played all the best songs, even some of the old stuff off the 1st 2 albums and the crowd was full of metalheads who seemed to have know these songs for over 15 years and were dying to see their heroes get on stage and blast em out one more time!

At the Gates: Another great reunited death metal band...I had only really got into em about a month before i saw em but damn they kicked ass! Shame i'll probly never see em again.

Nightwish: Disappointment!!! I love nightwish, even the new stuff, but the new stuff live just isnt as energetic as the old stuff and Anette cant sing Tarjas stuff sadly... that said "poet and the pendulum"and "sacrament of Wildreness"were kick ass and gave me some hope that the concert would lift up, but alas, it didnt.

Lordi: to be honest i was just drinking and talking to some Canadian Dude for most of this concert, but of course i sang along to all the hits that I knew...all in all a amazing stage show and the novelty was deffinitely worth going for
