I love Carlisle Cullen like people, anyone who has read the Twilight Series would know the type, if not, well, they have to be incredibly kind, want the best for people, go out of their way to help someone, without expecting much in return. I have actually met one or two of those people, and they are the most loving souls I could ever know.

Well, I don't know really why I'm writing this, but I just felt like I needed to tell somebody about it so here goes.
When I was younger I used to hate school. I was bullied a lot because I was different from everybody else. I didn't keep up with the fashions and trends that came about every other month, I took an interest in things that were deemed 'uncool.' I never used to have friends, and often retreated into the magical worlds created for me in my books. There I had friends, who I could go on the most amazing adventures with, who never shunned me for being who I am. That all changed when I came to NEGS. When I arrived, I thought 'this is just another school with the same kind of kids, same kind of teachers.' To tell you the truth, I didn't think I'd fit in at all. In actual fact, I found that NEGS was entirely the opposite of what I'd thought it to be. At first it was difficult, like it is with all new school's, adjusting to the routine, making friends. I found it especially difficult, because I had absolutely no self confidence whatsoever, and I was so used to trying to fit in, that I didn't notice that that wasn't necessary anymore. Eventually I settled in, and I really began to enjoy it, and to make some really lifelong friends with my wonderful class of 2007. NEGS welcomed my differences, and encouraged me to build on those in what they used to call 'character building'. My self confidence began to grow, but what really did it was the singing, and the music. It's amazing how learning to sing, I mean to truly sing, really changes how you feel about yourself. I no longer cared what other people thought about me, as long as I was happy with who I was.
Many people think this is strange, but it wasn't only the students that I befriended. It was also the teachers and the other staff at NEGS. A great many of you don't understand, but if you actually take the time to chat to your teachers about stuff other than school and homework, you might actually find that they are really interesting people, and well worth getting to know, just like your classmates. Some of my dearest friends happen to be teachers. Which is also why I spent many recess's and lunchtimes at the music block, helping out, as these amazing people give so much all the time, they often get swamped under the weight of it all. For those of you who still think that is strange, I just want to clarify something for you. When teachers get cross with you or in some cases your whole class, and you are led to believe that that they now hate you, it's not true at all. All they're doing is ensuring that you get the best out of your education so you can go far in life, and continue to learn. That doesn't sound like hate to me.
Anyway, if you've read this far, you're doing extremely well. Not long now. I hope that makes it clearer to those of you who have questioned why, I never wanted to leave NEGS when I graduated. For those reasons stated above. I've found something really special, and I'm not quite sure I want to let go of it so fast. I just want to say thank you to all those fantabulous people in my life who have been my friends these last 6 years. Your generosity, kindness and warmth towards me has been very much appreciated, and I hope I can continue giving that which was bestowed so graciously on me.
