Tutto su di me: After spending my twenties bouncing around from Elgin to Shetland then Ayr then back to Elgin and so on, I'm now settled in Aberdeen with Steve and lots of animals. Barney the crazy dog Arwyn and Frodo the cats , 5 mice, Harry Hamster, 2 Chinese hamsters + their 7 babies. We lost Taz last year when he was just 10, which was heartbreaking.

It looks like another move is on the cards now since our house is being knocked down to make way for a bypass route.... wonderful! Hopefully this will be the last.

Music: Queen, Motley Crue, Bon Jovi, Pink, Snow Patrol, Coldplay
Films: Stand By Me. LOTR. The Green Mile and anything with Johnny Depp in. .
TV: Dr Who, of course and Jericho (RIP)
Most reality rubbish, at least for the first few weeks, then I lose interest.
Scared Of: Spiders,
Veins,
Bellybuttons!
Happiest When: Spending time with my big Sister (how times change, we used to want to kill each other) and her 2 gorgeous girls Robyn and Daisy. Out walking with Barney and his doggy friends. Cuddled up on the sofa with Steve watching a film.

Or alternatively, When I have chocolate in the house.
Who I miss: Taz.

Arwyn Update

I never did get around to updating so here goes.

Firstly, Arwyn has had a sex change! After almost 2 months with us we discovered after finally getting the last of the matts cut away from around his back end, that he had balls! They didn't stay for long though, because we had him neutered last week.

We eventually got the adoption paperwork through last month so he now has a permanent home with us. He's a great little cat, very friendly and playful and extremely trusting, despite his poor start in life. He's been a little sickly and had a stay at the vets last month after becoming seriously ill over a weekend. (why do they always get sick on weekends) It turned out he had a hairball blockage which luckily he was able to pass and he's now doing very well and steadily gaining weight.

We have more additions now too, in the shape of 5 mice (who we're still trying to name) and Harry the Hamster all of whom we adopted from PAWSS.

My Mum thinks I'm crazy with all these pets .. maybe she's right..

Our new addition

Well we've been saying since we got Barney that there'd be no more pets, but it seems fate had something else in store for us.

On Saturday Steve discovered an injured, seriously underweight cat raking through our wheelie bin. Of course he brought her inside, he wouldn't have dreamt of leaving her. We contacted the CPL who came and took her to the vets on Monday. Her health in general is pretty good, she just has a few minor problems and injuries which have been treated. and she'll need a lot of grooming and a good bath.

Then of course there's her weight, which thankfully the vet doesn't think is due to any medical problem. That does mean she's not been taken care of though, which is both infuriating and saddening. For now she's living with us as a foster cat while the CPL attempt to find an owner. If no-one claims her in 2 weeks we'll be adopting her and I must admit to hoping no owner comes forward.

When she first arrived she was terrified and would attack us if we went near. Three days on and she's like a different cat. She follows us everywhere and loves nothing better than sitting on my knee being groomed and made a fuss of.

If her previous owners don't want her then their loss is definitely our gain.
