- My name is Eoghan (pronounced Owen) Colgan. I come from Northern Ireland but have been living in Glasgow for the past three years. This year I was handpicked by some of the music industry’s leading figures to be awarded the O2 Undiscovered music bursary. It was the break I needed to give up my full-time job as a doctor and pursue a career in music which had been a passion of mine for some time. In the past few months myself and my band have played at the Wireless Festival in Hyde Park, The Grazia Magazine Fashion Awards, The Scottish Fashion Awards and most recently the Q Magazine Awards Nomination Ceremony at the Millenium Dome alongside Athlete, Hard-Fi and the Manic Street Preachers. I am currently writing and preparing to record my debut album which will be available in 2008.

2009 Update
A very happy new year to everyone. Can't say I'm not glad 2008 is over. Was a strange year for me. Lots of frustrations but learned a hell of a lot. 2009 shaping up to be a great year. New single coming out soon with tours of Ireland and Scotland in April. Lots to organise and all the details will be coming soon. I hope you are all happy and well!!!

I was just reading your profile there and liking some of the music choice. Damien Dempsey is the man!!!! I went to see him in Oran Mor and he was fantastic!
