1. Every big meal is some kind of starch composure (ie. Fufu, banku, kenke, etc)
2. your parents get mad at your friends for just saying 'Can I speak to (insert your name here)' and then teach them a little something something about respect
3. Your mother got a Degree in Nursing and your father was once a Taxi driver
4. If you have rarely had to pay for computer fixings, medicine, candy, health care, etc because all your relatives have a place in those fields
5. If your parents asked you 'So which are you going to be when you grow up, a Doctor or a Lawyer'
6. If your parents write $50 checks (each) and be dropping it for Church Collection.
7. If your christmas means fried plantain, bofloat, malt, jeloff rice, fried rice, chicken soup, etc.
8. If your parents still clean there mouths with Chewing Sticks, before they brush their teeth.
9. If your Dad complains, how slow your mother takes to get ready for a Party/Church.
10. If your parents are building 2 mansions in Ghana but barely surviving utilities in the london
11. If u have heard of Mami Water or Mary Jata
12. If you go to the African store and always see people you know.
13. If your parent be like 'Lets Go' (African Accent) and they don't really be ready.
14. If your parents Shopped at the thrift store when you where young.
15. If your parents always tell you that, they are royal priesthoods of some small tribe in the sub sections of the rural areas in Ghana
16. If your parents wake up early in the morning and play that same old Gospel song with the Bonsu and his accordion
17. If you know about 4 Amma's, about 3 Kwasi's, 12 Nana's, and somebody with your name.
18. If your parents will pay 200 dollars for the newest in textile fashions but get mad when you ask for book money
19. If you are proud of where u came from 'cause it was the 1st sub-Saharan country of independence and all the other countries try to jock us
