- The Stone Roses revolutionised British Pop. Our days before them had been dark and dingy. The cool people were too scared to take a pot shot at the mainstream, the underground, it seemed, was fading away, leaving the charts dominated by the vile scum of the eighties' pop brigade.
The Stone Roses were the most legendary band of the late 1980s. They changed British pop by putting a cool street band back into the mainstream; they made pop and guitars cool again. They were part of their times, but they were also catalyst for the future. They took trad guitar music and breathed new life into it, and when they put out 'Fools Gold' they virtually invented the perfect 1990's pop record.

In concurence to this line of action I have taken, I have also dropped out of the Happy Mondays & Charlatans Bebo fan sites, and seeing as I was in the position of being the last high member of those fan groups, those pages will now be deleted.
I shall follow on with what I enjoy, listening to such bands as Pantera, Faith No More, Alice In Chains, Opeth & Meshuggah.
Peace.
As co-founder of this fan page, I respectively step down. I've become less and less orientated with Madchester ingeneral, and never held a line for Indie music (especially not modernised Indie music). In my like for the Stone Roses, I would prefer to view them as an open rock band who set in a scene.
To be honest, I really love for Metal, Classic Rock, Progressive, Funk, Blues and many other denominations for other such ariel conquest's in those styles, so carrying on with a band I can only respect music wise, but not genre based, would be hypocritical of me. In the Faith No More (metal band) song "Land Of Sunshine", Mike Patton spoke out the lyrics; "Relax, it's just a phase, you'll grow out of it", and it decribes perfectly what this whole scene is to me now.
I AM THE RESSURECTION AND I AM THE MAN!!
