- My name is Tom, and I'm a 22-year-old Composer from Cork, Ireland (this sounds like a bloody Al-Anon meeting already!). I'm currently studying music in the CIT Cork School of Music, and I hope to pursue a career in Composition eventually. I compose mostly in my head, and I'm for ever scribbling notes down on manuscript books, many of which are a somewhat disorganised hodge-podge of sketches, drafts and melodies.
My aim is to produce music that appeals to its listeners' souls, music that is constructed intelligently and heartfeltly. Music without meaning is lifeless and dead, and I always strive to say something in my music (even if I don't always explicitly state what it is I'm trying to say).
While I write music for most "classical" instruments, I prefer to write choral\vocal and orchestral music. Some might call my music old-fashioned, others may call it pretty, while more still may call it pedantic or even kitsch; but whatever people may make of it, I am proud (some) of it.

I am really impressed with the quality and sound of your music, absolutely love it, please let me know if you have an album and where it can be bought (i live in N Ireland) if you have not released an album Why Not,the world is missing out.
have only listened to sonnet,for flute & piano so far but if this is anything to go by.............really inspirational.

Thumbs up from me, musically ignorant scruffy teenager as I am. Graceful and unpretentious, sweet with out being saccharine, especially the sonnet for piano and flute. Reminds me a little of Debussy (sorry if thats not what you were going for!).
