    • The Tooth Fairy & the Faith of a Child

      We can all debate on if the "Tooth Fairy" is real or not. One girl that we took to camp has her own view on the "Tooth Fairy" and God.
      You see, She had a loose tooth that she wanted to pull while at camp. She knew if she pulled it, the "Tooth Fairy" would bring her more money that she could spend at camp.
      Trying not to get her hopes up, yet trying not to discourage her at the same time; I asked her, "What if the Tooth Fairy can't find you since you're not at home." Her response, "I'll pray to God, and He will give this address to the Tooth Fairy."
      I shared this information with her Counselor, who was Michelle. We decided to shell out some extra money so the "Tooth Fairy" could make a stop to help build her faith. You see, this little girl's most important prayer request is not for some money from the "Tooth Fairy", but it's for her dad to come home so they can all be a family again.
      What is important for her is not the question of whether or not the "Tooth Fairy" is real, but that God really does answer prayer.

    • Kids Say the Cutest Things

      I love working with kids. You can always know that one of them will somehow bring a smile to your face.
      The other day, one of my 7 yr. old students was waiting on a ride home. He was shocked to see his grandmother walk through the door, because he thought she would still be at beauty school. Making conversation, I asked, "Oh, your grandmother goes to Beauty School." His response was, "Yes, and sometimes for homework she has to operate on those fake heads."
      In the same week, I was taking one of our bus kids home. Her parents have come to our church some; so to make conversation, I asked her how they were. She said they were good, but her dad is going on a diet. "Oh?" I replied. "Yes," she said, "He got some papers the other day that said he was a beas'." Knowing she meant obese, I asked her, "Do you mean a beast?" With all the love in her heart for her dad, she replied, "Yes!"

      STOP LOOKING FOR HIS BIBLE!!! YEAH.... Sis. Cindy Sheridan emailed us a couple of days ago.....(posted it on bebo)....& said they found it at their church....PTL!!!
      Tell everyone CT way that we send our love & Jamaica Greetings!! Please tell the boys & girls...& church to be in prayer for the release of our container.....if you will give me email addresses....I will place you all on our E!Newsletter Mail List. We send those out monthly.....we will be sending this months, in just a few days.....it explains about our container issue we are having.

      I'm guessing yall are back in the States..since Christmas is tomorrow..:)
      Just wanted to by-pass something your way...also Michelle & Sis. Vickery's way.....
      We're looking for Benjamin's Bible......it's in a canvas all red Bible cover (about a 5x7 in size)....it has an American flag in bottom right corner & reads "Let's Roll". It's a Precious Moments Bible & has his name on the inside. He said he either left it "upstairs", "in the Children's Church room" (I think where Bro & Sis Black does cc) or "in the van" (he said he sat in the van after church & was talking with the 'camp boys'.
      This is such a very special Bible....it was the last thing my Mother gave to him just before she passed away.
      I know you have a million-&-one things going, but if you don't mind, could you possibly see if it's in any of those places & then drop us a line? Thanks, in advance!!! We sure appreciate it!!
