Muse are one of the most individual, innovative and influential bands to ever walk the face of the earth, planets and beyond...they have proven many times the sheer perfection and high standard in which they choose to work and in return have finally found the recognition they deserve.
With Matt’s soaring falsetto vocals the band was able to give birth to their surreal musical creations… first was showbiz, released in 1999, to the criticism of some for sounding too much like radiohead.

Next came 2001’s origin of symmetry, which saw Muse break free from their reputation as radiohead sound-alikes and blasted them off into territory unknown to the vast majority of rock bands. It was origin of symmetry that provided Muse with their breakthrough into the mainstream in the form of the single plug in baby, with it’s infectious riff and funky bass line muse were on to greater things.

2002 was the year of Hullabaloo, a collection of B-sides and their live performance in Le Zenith (Paris), which included the release of a double A-side singles Deadstar/In your world (CD1) and the In your world/dead star (CD2) both of which included B-sides, one of which being Muse’s cover of can’t take my eyes off you.
In 2003 Muse released Absolution, acomplex mixture of cyber rock and prog with the odd classical leaning. Absolution demonstrated not only Muse’s sublime musical ability but also their determination not to compromise just to fit in with the market, however they had no reason to be worried as they had successfully managed to double their audience since their last album and Americans were also beginning to catch on.
Singles: Stockholm syndrome, time is running out, hysteria, sing for absolution.
It was a long wait for Muse’s fifth album, Black holes and revelations but in 2006 it was finally given it’s first outing to the absolute awe of both fans and critics alike. Both agreed that Muse were no longer just a decent band, they had evolved into musical monsters of rock.
Singles: Supermassive blackhole, knights of Cydonia, starlight, Map of the problematique (?)
